It’s probably safe to say that this is one of the best pop albums of the 2020s so far. Great production, great performances, great music. The last two tracks aren’t the greatest, but the tracks before it make up for it.
While I appreciate the experimental value of “Mother”, it doesn’t really land in my opinion, and feels very out of place. However, the rest of the tracks on this album (including “Miss Gradenko”) were very good, or at the very least, interesting and mostly enjoyable.
I must be a sucker for upbeat indie rock / pop because I loved this thing more than I reasonably should have.
Love this album. Definitely a must-listen without a doubt. The only thing holding it back from a slightly higher score was “The Girl Is Mine”, which I personally found extremely corny. Literally every single other song was near-flawless.
The first time I listened to this album was in my car (while barely paying attention to the music), and I was actually pretty disappointed. I felt like I didn’t give it a fair chance, though, so I listened to it again a few days ago. I am no longer disappointed. Super interesting album full of creative ideas, and great music.
Silk Sonic did what Greta Van Fleet wanted to do: Take an old sound, and successfully revive it.
That's it. I've officially fallen into the Tame Impala fan pit. That might not be such a bad thing, though.
A fantastic piece of hard rock / stoner rock that more people should talk about. "In the Fade" might just be one of my favourite rock songs.
This an underrated album for sure. It's not AIC's best, but it's still one hell of an album.
If you need to be convinced that Kendrick Lamar is one of the greatest hip hop artists alive, this is a good place to start.
This never should have left streaming services. Truly a crime against humanity.
I really didn't expect to enjoy this album as much as I did. This was the first Denzel Curry album I have listened to all the way through, and I am Impressed.
This album shocked me on my first listen. I expected it to be good based on what I have heard, but I didnt expect it to be this good. This album is full of energy, and it's infectious. This is peak garage rock.
