I have been sitting here thinking about what to say about this album and I have no idea.
It goes hard. Simple as that.
This album is fantastic. I don't love every track, but this album never really let me down. This album also has some of the best grunge / Alt Metal songs ever in my opinion.
This is my first time listening to a double-album all the way through, and I clearly chose a great starting point. The Dream Pop is gorgeous, and the Grunge / Metal fucking rocks. Not a single bad song here, which is super impressive for a two-hour-long album.
Super sick. It didn't quite grab me like Odelay did, but It grabbed me none the less.
Beck is a strange fellow... or at least he was.
Yea, this rocks. I love how heavy this sounds most of the time, and i'm also loving the lyrics to some of these songs ("Glorified G" and "W.M.A" seem very political, and I think that's pretty cool). The lighter ballads like "Daugter" and "Elderly Woman..." are probably my least favourite here, but they are still really good, and I don't think I would skip them or anything. Overall: a great album that I might even prefer to their debut.
I actually enjoyed this quite a bit. Its a little generic at times, I will say that, but some people have been saying that all of the songs blend together and I don't think that's the case (at least not too much). I didn't love everything here, but the high points are wonderful.
It reeks of the early 2000s, but in a charming way. The fact that the tracks are well made / well performed help it out for sure.
It's not the greatest album experience out there, even for pop music. But, man, there are some standout tracks for sure. Super catchy and well produced.
The queen died in September so i'm a little late to the party, but whatever.
This album is beautifully dramatic. Giving it anything under a 90 would feel wrong.
Drake has not mached this energy since. I want this version of Drake back so bad.
I loved Blurryface when it came out in 2015, but I was a dumb child at that point. Now that I have grown up, and my music taste has matured a little, I lost interest in that album and TOP entirely. So much so that I wasn't even aware of this album until very recently. As usual, I heard this album was good, and decided to give it a listen. I was aware of the opener, Jumpsuit, and I loved it, so I was expecting big things. I am happy to report that this album delivered on my expectations.
