“the family jewels” is unconventionally fun and creative, with a bunch of catchy and entertaining messages with playful and captivating tunes delivered with excellent originality. there’s a mixture of sounds but in it’s chamber-pop inclined tracks or the fierce, with versatile vocal performances it works well.

in just 9 tracks, “magdalene” reflects on fka’s personal life, mostly her suffering after heartbreak. it’s a challenging album with profound and genuine songwriting, transitions from powerful glitchy production (“fallen alien”) to a more delicate sound (“cellophane”) and beautiful vocals from twigs.

“m3ll155x” combines fka’s r&b sound in “lp1” but with a more innovative and darker experimentations, it’s spontaneous and adventurous, with jaw-dropping beats and exciting lyrics. it’s one of her best projects, simply an excellent representation of twigs’ creative persona.

filled with experimental, unique and boundary-pushing r&b yet being able to take an approach into mainstream with captivating and catchy hooks, “lp1” is one of the decade’s most defining records. with remarkable production, witty lyrics and emotional and beautiful vocals, twigs builds a great debut effort.

“ep2” is by far better than “ep1”, the sensual, wonky production handled by arca’s experimental brilliance and twigs’ airy, dreamy vocal deliver turns “ep2” as a very pleasant, smooth and almost hypnotic listen. there’s still details to work on but “ep2” is already a confident and stunning work of art.
