This isn't quite in the upper echelon of nu metal releases I've heard, but I still prefer it over most of the alt-rock stuff that was popular in 1997 like Alanis Morissette & Marilyn Manson. It makes sense they would have toured with an off the wall band like Faith No More when it was released since there was no other band like them at the time besides Korn, who lacked the hip hop element.

I got blown away with this one. This has to be one of the most breathtaking and mesmerizing albums out there. Elizabeth Fraser's vocals are simply perfect here, her voice has never sounded so wonderfully ethereal as here, where she really hits her stride as a lead vocalist, with some great introspective lyrics as well. The guitars and rhythm section here also do an incredible job painting these lush soundscapes for Fraser's voice to mingle with. From the start, Heaven... is simply ... read more
First time having a full listen to this band. Absolutely amazing dreamy and floaty album, they really delivered on the underwater theming. I love when a band can really commit to a vision they have for an album and this seems to be like they were all 100% in on this concept and it really shines because of it. I did not know what to expect when going into Submarine, and I have to say that I was happily surprised. In a year that has been full of great Indie Pop music, Submarine still stands out. ... read more
DAMN what a ride with that pony, this album will be remembered as Deftones' magnum opus, and one of the greatest albums of all time. At first listen it may seem overwhelming, but upon further listens, it all comes together. The lyrics are at times cryptic and the bass is mesmerizing, thanks to the late and great Chi Cheng. This is an essential album and the best starting point for the uninitiated.
White Pony is and sounds like is diving into a swimming pool at night, alone in the waves ... read more
seriously, what the fuck is this? the blandness on this one really shows up, cringey rapping skills by Ronnie Radke with a mix of the most basic metal sounds you'll ever see, I ALMOST DIED LISTENING TO THIS GARBAGE
oh my god... This album is really one of shoegazes essential album come to date, Souvlaki is a piece of brilliance in its own right. It's the most dreamy album I've ever listened to. It's slow, atmospheric, hypnotic, swirling and soaring. The guitars are so sweeping, and musically it all feels incredibly intricate and delicate. It has a real hazy and melancholic feeling about it, the perfect album to drift off to sleep to. It's soothing, wistful, lush and it flows so ... read more
Another dive for another Deftones album, I do really enjoyed this a lot. All the familiar Deftones tropes are touched upon, but in a way that sounds very refreshing and essential. There is just simply no other band out there making music like these guys, but instead of that being a sign that their sound is old and out of place but the band still sounds as vital and timeless as ever. Speaking of sound, there’s the vocals. As characteristic and important as the musicians of Deftones are, ... read more
Alright, Honest review of this one...
This album is such an emotionally raw and commercially successful work of art. It perfectly captures the attitude Nirvana had their recent bloom in popularity. The screaming, distortion and the dark themes really fits to the band a lot, it made a the album feel more initmate directly to Kurt and whatever he's been going through that time. In Utero feels like written and sung from the inside of Kurt expressing every depressive thoughts on his mind ... read more
I kinda enjoyed it, just an average korn album nothing special (i still love the crunchy riffs)
idc if u hate this guys this is my guilty pleasure, this is honestly not that bad. There are some annoying tracks on this one but overall this is a fun listen (come on Bradley, this is not ass
idk, there are some high points on this one but mostly a low ones, the repeating drums makes it boring plus the lengthy tracks with nothing special to it. The lyricism is so bad also

This is the first Arctic Monkeys record I heard back then, I really enjoyed this thing a lot. Now years later after revisiting this album it grew off me a lot, i could still personally enjoy it but not that much, i liked the spacey sound and the distinct riffs especially with a groovy instrumental breaks after the bridges track by track, plus the Josh Homme production is unbelievable
