I guess I understand what they were trying to rework/remix here and I respect the different path they chose thematically and "plotwise."
However, like many, I am underwhelmed in the execution and necessity of such a thematic and story-focus switch. Yeah, it's that good.
I first put this album on my to-listen list when my ex-boyfriend was raving about it, and I gotta say the hype was so valid. The production is exquisite and each song (even interludes!) are AMAZING. Truly cannot be stated how perfect the vocals, drums, synth, harmonies and melodies come together to create "Imaginal Disk's" dream-like feeling.

I don't care mannn this album is FIRE, and not even just the hits like "Complicated" (which is so good). There's some that feel a little more bland (Anything but Ordinary, Too Much to Ask) but they're not too bad all in all.
I think this album in retrospect would be better received if she wasn't incorrectly marketed as a "pop-punk" artist. I love pop/pop-rock music though and this album captures its era well, and I do really like the rock elements in ... read more
