i get bored after a while of listening to this album
edit: it’s definitely grown on me more but i still think it’s overrated as fuck
i wish rancid fans didn’t smell rancid.. okay jokes over sorry but i’m not a big fan of the last tracks i prefer a more consistent album
the production in this album is mesmerizing i just wish steve put a little more effort in the lyrics
while i do think this is their most underrated album, i hate how much covers there are
edit: not that consistent now that i’ve relistened to it
this is another album where i felt more drawn to the production rather than the lyrics but it’s incredible. i will forever be grateful my mom introduced me to i need you
i usually focus more on lyrics, BUT in igor i was definitely more drawn to the production. great album i love it
everyone who likes music rates this album a perfect 100 for a reason. i complained about how long the album was before listening to it, but now i get why it’s so long. there’s nothing i can say about this album that hasn’t already been said but wow stevie wonder is talented.
i wouldn’t consider myself a theatre kid by any means but i absolutely LOVE cabaret. probably one of the only musicals i will actually rewatch. the messages are insanely well done in this production and alan cumming is obviously the best emcee. i lovelove the vocals and the delivery in the 1998 version plus the orchestra sounds soso good
snow white has made me tear up several times already. i really like this new album. i LOVE how she decided to like not have every vocal be a perfect one and left small voice cracks. her lyrics are always incredible. sabotage did jumpscare me but i love it
not a single happy song on this damn album. all jokes aside though this album is very emotional and open i just don’t listen to it enough to give it a higher rating. great album though!
laufey is so fricking back. this is one of the few laufey songs that doesn’t have sad lyrics so i’m really gonna appreciate it đ
i love the vocals in this. very unique and peaceful album
there’s so many good songs on here idc if people think 79 is unjustified i like the album SUE ME
ik this album was meant to be a post punk album, but i do definitely think the goth influences stand out more. i feel like the band was still discovering their sound here, but it’s a great album either way
the talking heads were probably one of the best experimental bands of their time. even though this isn’t their most “different” album, it’s still so amazing and unique
this is probably their weakest work yet and it doesn’t stand out. this is definitely a downgrade from their other albums
