i feel like they really tried to get into the rock scene w this album (which doesn’t surprise me knowing gwen stefani goes to whatever’s popular), but didn’t do that well of a job. the tracks are just kind of repetitive
honestly my first and last phoebe album (not because it’s bad by any means i js can’t bring myself to listen to her other work). i feel like people made this album out to be incredibly gut wrenching when it’s not THAT sad. my favorite track is easily kyoto and i definitely think phoebe’s lyrics are beautiful, along with her vocals
i LOVED this ep so much. i started listening to beabadoobee a little after this was released (i don’t remember the year but she had blue hair) and this really got me into her music. even though i don’t listen to this ep that much anymore, i’ll always go back to it. her vulnerability in this really made her grow on me
edit: i haven’t really seen myself listening to it as much because i kinda overplayed it
my favorite album by him. you can tell it was made in the late seventies, which js makes me love it more. everything michael released was so different and similar to each other at the same time, but i think this was by far his most unique and memorable album
my first wallows album. i definitely prefer their other work, but i can’t deny that this album is great. i feel like it’s js not very unique and it was made when the band was still discovering their sound
not a single skip in this album BUT it’s not perfect. i feel like it’s js too similar to other albums that i enjoy more to be perfect. asleep, panic, and shakespheare’s sister are definitely my favorites though
i feel like i’m frolicking in clouds as derpy hooves (FROM MLP) when i listen to this
i wish he didn’t turn into a horrible person after this because separating his new art from his persona is really difficult BUT this album is great and it’s easy to forget who wrote it when you’re listening
edit: it’s been overplayed too much i’m starting to get a little sick of it
give you the world is so good holy. i am revoking some points cause of bad habit and static (they were good js so overplayed on tiktok that i got tired of them) i also recommend listening to buttons. i don’t listen to steve lacy that much but from what i’ve heard this album definitely stands out
HOLY VOCALS WOWWW. i saw someone say they hate the slow songs but they’re honestly so fitting for the band’s vocals. i really wanna start listening to mint condition more after hearing this album
i’m giving it extra points for birds don’t sing and anjela, but i really don’t see why i liked this album so much. i do think this album is good but i think there are so many albums just like it that are better
i was SO OBSESSED w this ep when it first came out and i still really like it to this day i just don’t find myself going out of my way to listen to it anymore. her vocals are really catchy though and the lyrics are great. i deducted a couple points because i got absolutely shit on in a tiktok comment section in 2023 when i DARED TO SAY i loved this ep (I STILL DO SUE ME)
BILLY JOEL’S SONGWRITING IS PERFECT. people focus so much on piano man’s lyrics but this album is where the real tear inducers are at
really good album. i absolutely hate the members cause they’re awful BUT their music is great i love the vocals sm. jack off jill basically perfected having a unique sound w this album
this was the album that really made me want to listen to tyler (i had tried before but could never get into his music). it’s clear he put a lot of effort into it and it’s genuinely unlike any of his other albums
there’s nothing i can say about this album that will bring anything new to the table because everyone loves it but it’s great đ
it makes me so sad listening to it knowing there will never be anything like it again, but it truly is a reminder of how good mac miller was. i’m conflicted on whether i like faces or balloonerism more (they’re tied for #1)
i used to be so obsessed w this album (especially hurts me too) but listening to it now i don’t enjoy her voice cracks as much (if that makes sense). i still love this album though just not my favorite anymore
