PIONEERED EIGHTIES PUNK. this album was the blueprint for so many others and they still did it better

their most popular album for a reason. it truly influenced punk so much (including some of my favorite albums) so i have to give it a high rating

blouse makes me cry every time i listen to it. truly clairo’s best work so far and took clairo out of the weird middle ground she was in between indie and pop

LAUFEY (pronounced lay vay) ILY. her voice is actually so soothing like i could easily fall asleep to this album (but not in the way that it’s boring). the only reason it’s not a perfect album is because i feel like she put more effort into the lyrics of california and me and promise than for songs like serendipity. still a great album

i’m not big on metal but soad and especially this album is the exception. serj’s voice is genuinely unreal. ALSO they actually used their music in a political way instead of js making meaningless music so YAY

i LOVE la sirena but nothing else really stands out

this album is perfect in terms of influencing grunge bands BUT in terms of alice in chains’ work, i do think they can and did do better. layne’s vocals in this album are beautiful though

CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED ALBUM. this is genuinely some of their best work by far (other than among my swan) and it’s the reason they became one of my favorite bands

this album really got me into mazzy star, so i’ll always have a soft spot for it. hope sandoval has such a pretty voice and david roback’s guitar matched so well w her vocals i love this album so much and it’s insanely overlooked compared to so that tonight i might see
