Listening to it post hype I guess?
I know the bangers of the album, but I must say a lot of the others, while not on like, a party style song in the same way, lyrically impacted me a lot more, perhaps because its just really relatable. ("Girl, so confusing" and "I think about it all the time")
Obvious favs include Von Dutch and 365.

Cover is so simple yet iconic the moment it released, not my fav style cover wise but makes a real big impact and visually suits the album.

Once again here reviewing Sleep Token, because all my friends rave about them and I'm still struggling to get into them. Is this as grating to me as their other albums? No, not really. At best its just mostly great instrumentals in parts with lyrics/vocals that falls short to me.

Part of me knows it feels a bit mean but the way Vessel sings is just sorta irritating to me, in small parts it's fine, but its like Dave from Glass Animals (especially in recent albums) the style?? ... read more

Ghosts first couple of albums gave the vibe of cool catholic church ornamental, with Impera and this one, it feels more American megachurch boring. Sure there's inspo from the older metal bands and all that but it doesn't really do anything with it that's exciting.

Daevar returns with their second album, equally as haunting as it is beautiful. Delirious Rites had a certain fuzz sound, while Amber Eyes does as well, it has a distinct clearer sounds. A friend ever asks what album to listen to, it would absolutely be this one.
