I'm a fan of this one! Some of the issues I had with underdeveloped songs carry over from the previous album. Catherine and Electric Light both come off as very plain in structure. It's not that plainness automatically writes something off, but I know that PJ can do a track that is both unique and engaging instrumentally, because those aren't mutually exclusive, and she does it multiple times here. Seems like a very personal album for Paul. Really well produced, with creative instrument usage. He was 63 when he released this, but experience gives inspiration, and he had unfortunately lost his wife, Linda, years prior, which some of the strongest songs seem to be based around. The best moments are those with a mysterious, darker sound, like the key change on How Kind of You, which is probably my favorite track on the project.
