I will never get mad at an artist for trying something different with their craft, even if it doesn’t quite stick the landing for many. This isn’t Currents, I doubt we’ll ever get Currents again, and that’s completely okay.

We are so back.
Really fun album about identity and growing up, two topics that are kinda hitting home right now. Josh is really in his bag with the songwriting here, lots of really catchy choruses. The performances are swell, a nice progression of their sound while still feeling like them.
Only complaints are that a couple songs sound a little overcooked. It’s also really short, feels like ideas don’t get much room to breathe.

Messiest album rollout I’ve ever seen, and some of that disfunction creeps into the music as well unfortunately. The quality to quantity ratio isn’t there like it is for the debut. Sonically it doesn’t do much for me either, and the story’s a little one dimensional.
