Started off really strong, until the track Monster. Then So Appalled and Devil in a New Dress came in which were equally boring. Hell of a Life was too long. Blame Game ruins the amazing Aphex Twin piano with its dumb skit.
Fantano really was right about this album.
Fav tracks: Dark Fantasy, POWER, All of the Lights, Runaway
This album has some bangers. The only issue I had was that a bunch of the songs were really similar.
Fav tracks: Bed Chem, Espresso, Juno
The ska elements in some of the tracks were surprising.
Fav tracks: London Calling, Lost in the Supermarket, Revolution Rock, Train In Vain (Stand By Me)
Definitely didn't expect "I love youuuuuuu Jeeeeesuussssss Chriiiiiiiissst" on this album. Today I learned that apparently I don't like folk music.
The vocals were annoying and the lyrics were nonsensical. Maybe I just don't get it or I'm a normie but the album was really disappointing. Trout Mask Replica was more enjoyable than this.
Fav tracks: Holland, 1945
These guys have great chemistry. This hoe was definitely scared
Fav tracks: Steppa Pig, God Loves You
The songs are very similar and repetitive. The album started off great but then it just felt like I was listening to riffs off of the same track over and over again.
Fav tracks: Like a Rolling Stone
The abrupt ending to She's So Heavy is jarring. The first half of the album is amazing, but the second half dropped off a bit for me
Fav tracks: Come Together, Octopus's Garden, I Want You (She's So Heavy), Here Comes the Sun
The song sweepstakes was really bad wow. There were some high highs, but a bunch of filler
Fav tracks: Stylo, Superfast Jellyfish, On Melancholy Hill
Do I just not like indie music?
Fav tracks: Neighborhood #3 (Power Out), Rebellion (Lies)
Lots of bangers on this album, but it's really bloated
Fav Tracks: São Paolo, Open Hearts
Entrancing, soothing, beautiful. Listening to this album made me feel like I was in the 80s
Fav tracks: Lovesong, The Same Deep Water as You
Incredible guitars, solos, saxes, drums, everything. This album is so so so much fun
Fav tracks: Everything
Super repetitive, simple instrumentals, and an incredibly bored vocal performance.
Fav tracks: Shadowplay
This album is so over the top and fun. Some of the instrumentals were too basic for me though
Fav tracks: Shame on a Nigga, Method Man,
I wish I had listened to this album when it came out
Fav tracks: Time to Pretend, Electric Feel, Kids
I wanted to like this more, but minimal instrumentals didn't do it for me
Fav tracks: Starman, Suffragette City
Those flute solos go hard
Fav tracks: Aqualung, Hymn 43, My God, Locomotive Breath
