Maybe it’s the nostalgia goggles but this album is AMAZING
Fave tracks: one step closer, crawling, in the end
Back In Our Minds was a real lowlight. The highlights are unreal though
Fave tracks: Maggot Brain, Hit It and Quit It, Super Stupid
Feels like I'm recovering from a breakup listening to this album
Fave tracks: Never Meant, But the Regrets Are Killing Me
Mommanem was a weird interlude
Fave tracks: Big Poe, Sucka Free
The first half was much stronger than the second
Fave tracks: Somewhere I Belong, Lying From You, Numb
Maybe it's the trilingual lyrics. Maybe it's the diverse instrumentals. Whatever it is, this was such a fun listen
Fave tracks: Kalamantina, Exile
Funky Shit and Serial Thrilla were skips.
Fave tracks: Smack My Bitch Up, Breathe, Narayan
Lots of fun mishmashes going on here. Some of the songs felt haphazard but most of the album was great
Fave tracks: Since I Left You, Frontier Psychiatrist, ETOH, Live at Dominoes
Takes a lot of their material from the second and third albums and makes them better.
Face tracks: Safe and Sound, Stress, D.A.N.C.E. x Fire x Safe and Sound
This album is a BIG FAT TEN OUT OF TEN
Fave tracks: Everything, but especially Human After All / Together / One More Time / Music Sounds Better with You
Really fun guitars and a raw sound. Feels way ahead of its time, can't believe this came out in 1970.
The last track was too chaotic IMO
Fave tracks: Down on the Street, Dirt
The 90s hitting back hard. Killer beats, hilarious bars, bangers all around.
Fave tracks: BUSSIT, LIKE A PUNK, DOUGHBOY, OMNITRIX
Outside of that middle group of tracks, the album wasn't too interesting
Fave tracks: Dirty Harry, Feel Good Inc., November Has Come, White Light
A lot of ambient guitar playing. Some tracks in the middle were just noise. I can see how the lo-fi production would appeal to some people but it's too grating for me a lot of the time. The drums on Samurai Sword were really fun though.
Also why is the closing track 9 minutes long, but most of it is a single note coming in and out every 15 seconds?
Fave tracks: The Glow, Pt. 2
The second last track was pretty rough but the rest of the album was mostly crazy fun
Fave tracks: Riff Wraiths, Dead Cowboy, Bizzaro Bike
Honestly I was a bit underwhelmed by this album
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band was a nice intro to the album
With a Little Help from My Friends sounds exactly like what I would expect a Beatles song to sound like
Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds has such soothing verses
Fixing a Hole has nice guitars
Within You Without You shows us the Indian influence but goes on for too long
Good Morning Good Morning has a fun guitar solo
A Day in the Life is a beautiful closing track
Fave tracks: ... read more
The 50 cent diss track at the end was pretty surprising
Fave tracks: Nutmeg, One, Apollo Kids, We Made It
