I've had my eye on Inhaler for a while and was really hyped for them to drop a debut - I really thought it'd be something impressive, and I'm kinda disappointed.
This very quickly became background noise for me. A lot of the songs sound really samey and lack any form of differentiation that's too noticeable. Everything here just really underwhelmed me.
They're one of those indie rock bands that sound exactly the same to everything else.
Sorry Inhaler </3
Wow this album is ahead of its- *passes out from boredom*
I thought I was going to cry at some points. Blue Weekend is dazzling, gorgeous, and engaging the moment you step into its world. I've never been so thankful about checking something out.
It's fucking pristine, and the songs sound simplistic, yet effective in conveying emotion.

Through its frantic start, the first thing I picked up on was the crisp quality of everything. Despite the chaotic, messy, jumbled structure, you can hear everything so perfectly. It's like it's punching your ears while cleaning them at the same time.
Incredibly unique, and even the weaker moments are only weak by a very minimal amount. This is just such a fun and intense experience.

I think it can be a little hard to get into and I do find myself zoning out a bit, with it just becoming background noise. Could just be me, but I do think it's an issue with the album.
Overall, I just found it really hard to get into this one. There's some really cool and interesting ideas going on sonically, and this shit is way ahead of its time. I just think it's super hard to connect with.
I don't think I'll be coming back to ... read more
