THE PERFECT SONG DOESN'T EXI-

Ecco2k - Pollen
54

it's a very somber track and the vocal delivery is fantastic, but the lyrics dude. this song made for an extremely uncomfortable listen for someone who speaks swedish. this might have to do with me not really listening to songs from my own country, but still. and if anyone wondered, the lyrics are ass.

6ix9ine - PUNANI

haha NASTEE NASTEE

645AR - Sum Bout U
78

i like this squeaky man good

Cochise - Hatchback
94

Kinda riding the carti wave, but i would lie if i didnt say this was a phenomenal song

EDIT: this song is just pure bliss

Kanye West - Wash Us in the Blood
78

wash us in the blood is the first single from ye's tenth album, and it's pretty good. the beat bangs, and the refrain that comes around on the pre-chorus bounces of the instrumental really well. i personally dont have a problem with the mixing, the different strenghts on the vocals during the second bridge is a bit odd, but aside from that part there aren't any sections i have a problem with regarding the mixing. i also find the lyrical theme of the track quite captivating, as in the first and ... read more

Charli xcx - forever
93

prob my most played song of the year

92

Tha-tha-tha-tha-tha-that's my shit

Run The Jewels - RTJ4
92

if what people often say in these chaotic times, that we hopefully will get good music out of this, then RTJ4 has set a very high standard for the sounds to come.

also the "stay sunny" part on JU$T might be the best ad-lib i've ever heard

SG Lewis - Chemicals
87

first interaction with this artist, and wow that bassline is infectious

slowthai - Toaster
97

this is a song that i deeply admire, the production is close to perfect as it paints a vivid picture of calming yet busy atmosphere that slowthai can lay his introspective bars over. this is my favourite slowthai song, and one of my fav songs period.

edit: idk if you can classify this as a single, i just thought this song deserved to be highlighted among all of slowthais other craft

Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist - Alfredo
68

freddie definitely brings his a-game on this record, the quality of the lyrics is consistently good. my problem with this record, however is alchemist's beats. this opinion is entirely subjective however, i can appreciate the gritty and minimal production, but it's just not for me. there are not a lot going on, and most of the time it's just a sample-loop without any progression or anything. if you loved this. then i applaud you for finding a good record. me, however, thinks this LP is just ... read more

Gupi & Fraxiom - Thos Moser
95

edit [orig score 89] found out that gupi actually is tony hawk's son. look it up.

even the fucking screech in the beginning sounds amazing

Wiki - Cash Out
82

slowly getting more used to his off-kilter delivery, this was really good. great lyrics, calm and controlled beat and a very catchy flow. nice stuff!

Charli xcx - how i'm feeling now
72

edit [orig. score: 63] only threw this party for you FOR YOU .F̷̧̨̬͇͚͇̿́̈̋̀͡ͅO̶̮͉̘͎͉̜͚͓̒͒̈́̓̑̄͌́̐̚Ȓ̷͎̰̬̖̲͖͉͓̆̆̑̾̊́͐̎͝ Ỳ̢̪͈͛̋̈́͛̕͜͢O̞͉͈̗̟̳̝̐̈́͐̑̎̂̓Ŭ̸͍͚̼͚̟̗̰͚̦̤͋̄͌̊͘

some great melodies and production throughout the album, but the real bottleneck of the LP is the lyrics. They are messy, and a bit awkward. This album really feels rushed. There are however some nice bops, like Forever and c2.0.

JPEGMAFIA - CUTIE PIE!
85

very slick flow and funny lyrics, the outro is a bit meh tho

edit [orig score 79] its so cleeeeaaan

Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist - 1985
64

not a fan of electric guitars in general, but the bars are very tight, nothing special tho
