BROCKHAMPTON DEEPDIVE PT 2 - SATURATED 1
This is what I consider the TRUE birth of BROCKHAMPTON. You really can't find a bad song in this album. Like at all. I'm gonna give it a little lower than 100 for two reasons:
1. I don't like the sing-songy part of BUMP
2. There is one other SATURATION album that is better than this one (imo)
But this album still has mad replay value, and is just a fun experience every new listen.
9.5/10

WORST SONG: BUMP (i ... read more

I actually quite enjoy the shit that BROCKHAMPTON made before the SATURATION trilogy, but then again, they lack their distinct style that would eventually be found. In this album, you'll find some decent R&B tracks mixed in with some hard songs like BEN CARSON, really stand-out songs like PALACE (which might be one of BROCKHAMPTON's best songs from their earlier discog) and FLIP MO.
A good start. 7/10 (might be a lil too high idk tho i am a bh ... read more
This is really just stupid fun. Unironically one of the best songs on The Big Day just because there's no seriousness in it at all, it just exists for the sole purpose of being a fun time.
Damn bro Megan went hard as fuck, throwing out disses to everyone. I'm super excited for her album.
"It isn't a real release, It isn't a real release..." I say whilst rocking from side to side in a fetal position whilst sucking my thumb. "It doesn't count..."
Also really hurts that it was released on my birthday. The one time a Ye "album" releases on time, AND it's on my birthday, it turns out to be effortless garbage.
I can't lie, at first, I was disappointed in Ye, cause this felt like a real step down from him in terms of... everything, but after a couple of re-listens, this thing slaps in ways I didn't even think before. The production is so grandiose and if it was any different I don't think I would like this song as much as I do. Bump J's verse feels sort of like a preparation for the rest of the song, and then Lil Durk delivers heavily and is the shining star of the song. Kanye's verse is pretty fun ... read more
I don't believe it's even possible to rate this based on the individual tracks. This is just an album you need to listen to in its entirety, and there are barely any tracks here that you can take out and put on a playlist. That being said, this album is an absolute trip, and by the end of it, you feel like you've lived a thousand lives. Incredible sounds and thoughts being shown on this album, nothing overstaying its welcome.
This album is heaven encapsulated in audio form, at least that's ... read more
So, I have a strange relationship with this album. I had gotten into BROCKHAMPTON a little too late in 2022 when they just released their 2 last albums (reviews for sure coming soon for those) and announced their split. I was equal parts sad and happy, one because it seems I can't ever find an artist when they're in their prime, but happy since they had told everyone they all had plans to release solo albums, and if it was anywhere near the quality of their projects as a group, it would be ... read more
I am awaiting this new era of Kevin eagerly, because if what I heard on this song is any telling of what I'm in store for on the album, I am excited.
1. HYAENA (10/10)
WOW, out the gate with an incredible song. Trav sounds better than ever lyrically and the track has got a really unique vibe to it. Not much else I can say other than he really just bodied it.
2. THANK GOD (feat. KayCyy) (9/10)
Deducted a point for having the drop too late in the song and not having it last long enough, like come on man, that fucking drop was one of the most incredible things I had ever heard, shit had me bobbing my head so hard. Other than that, an ... read more
