Logged back on to this inactive account just to review this album. Yes, it's that serious. I already knew this album would be great from the five singles that preceded it but wow, this is definitely album of the year. The tracklisting is a little bit odd and I don't like the fact that the five singles are the first five songs on the album, but that can be forgiven with how good this album is. I don't think anyone will surpass this album for a while, and this might be ... read more
This is a long listen, but it's definitely worth the 1 hour and 13 mins. One of the main problems of Willoughby Tucker, though, is that it's heavily frontloaded. The first three songs are the best, while the second half of the album has a few drags like "A Knock At The Door" and "Waco, Texas", the last track being 15 minutes long. "Dust Bowl", the highly anticipated unreleased track was a little underwhelming for me, due to how much praise it got before ... read more

This album is fine. It's not amazing, it's not bad. There are only a few standout tracks on this album, one of which being 'Zoal, Face Dancer', which is one of my favourite Grimes songs (though ironically on her worst album). The drums on 'Beast Infection' are very clearly pencils and overall the production on this album sounds very amateur and homemade. As I said earlier, it's her worst album but has a few standout tracks that I ... read more
Never listened to Sega Bodega but I was interested in this EP when I saw that it had a collaboration with Poison Girl Friend. The two 10s on this album are "Black Stone" and "In My Room". The reason I even reviewed this album was because of In My Room - it might be one of my favourite songs I've listened to this year. The songs "z" and "Prayer At The Dinner Table" are just fine, they're a little bit boring though.
Wow... This is actually song of the year material. I wasn't planning on tuning into "Fancy That" but this song made me change my mind
The first half of this album gagged me hard... Girl Feels Good is giving Ray of Light, Eusexua is amazing (and my favourite song), and after Room of Fools is where the streak of 10s ends, with the mid song "Sticky". Keep It, Hold It and Childlike Things are good, but after this it gets worse. Striptease, 24hr Dog, and Wanderlust are all mid (don't crucify me). Like all of her other projects, EUSEXUA sounds different from the last, and FKA twigs continues to show off her ... read more

M3LL155X is undoubtedly one of FKA twigs best projects. It has EP1's amazing vocals and EP2's amazing production. The fact she released such a great work just a year after LP1, another great project, is unbelievable. There will never be another FKA twigs.

Wow. Like "Halfaxa", Visions has finally clicked for me. This album is amazing. It's a cold, windy, winter afternoon and this is the perfect album to be listening to. The album starts with a streak of four tens, from 'Genesis' to 'Circumambient', broken by 'Vowels = Space and Time" (which I gave a 9). 'Be a Body (侘寂)' is an energetic track, much like the aforementioned track 'Vowels = Space and ... read more

I am reviewing Grimes' albums in order, and I have found that I severely underrated Halfaxa. On my first review, I have it 50, and now I'm at 79 from my last review of 78. Who knows what the new score will be in a month. This is a beautiful wintery morning album, on the same level as 'Visions' by Grimes and 'Vespertine' by Björk. Some songs such as 'My Sister Says The Saddest Things' give a sense of melancholia, but on the ... read more
This album is not terrible, but not good. What is terrible is the involvement of Dr. Luke. A criticism me and most others have is that the album sounds like Primark or H&M music. Songs like "Wonder" (the only song with no input from Dr. Luke) and "Lifetimes" sound like they could've been from 2012. "Nirvana" and "Truth" have a promising pre-chorus but boring chorus. I would maybe listen to this, but with the involvement from (alleged) rapists I ... read more
This album isn't as good as Mercurial World, but Imaginal Disk is still an amazing album. I like the use of prog rock elements in songs like "Tunnel Vision", and the amazing pop song "Cry for Me", which sounds like it could be a number 1 song. "She Looked Like Me!" sounds like it could be produced by yeule, and "Angel on a Satellite" is a beautiful ballad. Although I think Mercurial World is better, Imaginal Disk has a larger variety of genres, and ... read more
Originally, this got a 75 from me and I gave Club classics a 5/10 (💀). Two months after this single released, "brat" released and Club classics ended up being my favourite song from it.
Like "Club classics", this was a grower for me. I was underwhelmed especially after the teasers that had been released for a month before the actual song, but I really like this song now.
