Didn't think this EP would be good after listening to Obsessed, but it's surprisingly good.
Highlights:
Nothing On (But The Radio)
I got it bad
Worst:
Obsessed
This album is definitely a must listen album if you like reggaetón. I don't know why I took so long to listen to this album, but I'm glad I eventually did.
Highlights:
X SI VOLVEMOS
CAIRO
BESTIES
AMARGURA
TUS GAFITAS
DAÑAMOS LA AMISTAD
Worst:
PERO TÚ
CAROLINA
MERCURIO
KÁRMIKA
GUCCI LOS PAÑOS
I mean, for someone that likes pop music, the instrumental is ok. The seemingly AI-generated voice does not cut it though. If in 2020 you told me this was a Grimes song I would laugh at you.
This is definitely Grimes darkest album, but that doesn't mean it's her best.
Highlights;
My Name Is Dark
So Heavy I Fell Through the Earth
We Appreciate Power
Violence
Darkseid
Worst:
Idoru
Before the Fever
Delete Forever
This album is pop perfection. This is the first album I ever listened to that wasn't by Lady Gaga (years and years ago) and I still think it's one of the best albums ever made.
Highlights:
Toy Soldier
Gimme More
Piece of Me
Get Naked
Ooh Ooh Baby
Worst:
Radar
Why Should I Be Sad
Perfect Lover
Very good. Only opinion I have on Grimes is that she is a better producer than anything else.
Highlights:
Venus Fly
Realiti
Kill V. Maim
Butterfly
Flesh without Blood
Worst:
Easily
Live in the Vivid Dream
Belly of the Beat
Very good. Album starts off well, gets worse in the middle, and picks up again at the end. I would recommend.
Highlights:
Precious Things
Girl
Little Earthquakes
Crucify
Winter
Worst:
China
Me and a Gun
Silent All These Years
This album was not as good as I thought it would be. From the songs I heard (American Teenager, Ptolemaea) I thought this would be a better album. The beginning is good, and the album starts off well. The middle just did not cut it for me. But, it picked up after Gibson Girl, and the album ended off well.
Highlights:
American Teenager
Sun Bleached Flies
A House In Nebraska
Gibson Girl
Ptolemaea
Worst:
August Underground
Hard Times
Family Tree
This album is pretty good. It's the first album I have heard from Tori Amos, and it wasn't a bad listen.
Highlights:
Speaking With Trees
29 Years
Addition of Light Divided
Ocean to Ocean
Metal Water Wood
Worst:
Birthday Baby
Flowers Burn To Gold
Spies
This album is ok. The production is really good, but La Goony Chonga's voice is not. It does not fit the instrumentals at all and this album would've been better as just instrumentals.
Highlights:
La Calle
Un Poquito
LHDP (La Hora de Perrear)
Worst:
Pégate
Movimiento Sensual
I don't know what happened this review, but the rating has dropped by 25, somehow. The first half of Debut is still really good although the last half is filled with songs that I couldn't name a single lyric from, despite listening to this album multiple times. Most of the songs I don't like are ballads that I feel add nothing to the album at all.
Rating: 64
Previous Rating: 89
Favourites (not in a particular order):
Crying
One Day
Big Time Sensuality
This is an iconic album. Made when Lorde was just 16, this is one of the best debut albums of all time.
Highlights:
Team
Tennis Court
A World Alone
Royals
White Teeth Teens
Worst:
Ribs
Still Sane
It's been a while since I first listened to this album completely. It was only a couple months after it released, and I immediately became a Rina Sawayama fan. This will forever be one of my favourite albums.
Highlights:
Akasaka Sad
Dynasty
Who's Gonna Save U Now?
Snakeskin
Comme des Garçons (Like the Boys)
Worst:
Paradisin'
Fuck this World (Interlude)
Bad Friend
One Hundredth Review!
This is probably biased because I am a huge Lady Gaga fan. But I decided to review one of my favourite albums for my 100th review. I guess you could say this is pretty outdated. It is hugely based on very noticeably 2010's EDM, but despite this it is Lady Gaga's best album.
Highlights:
G.U.Y.
ARTPOP
Sexxx Dreams
Venus
Donatella
Worst:
Mary Jane Holland
Jewels N' Drugs
Fashion!
I mean.. It's okay. It has some bops like "King of Hearts" and "brrr", but otherwise it just sounds like an album full of fillers and rejects. In fact, there were 3 outtakes from her unreleased album "Problématique" on Feed the Beast.
Highlights:
King of Hearts
Castle in the Sky
brrr
Unholy
Hit It From The Back
Worst:
Coconuts
BAIT
uhoh
Thousand Pieces
This album is too overhated. It's just chilled back and it's a perfect summer album.
Highlights:
Fallen Fruit
Solar Power
Mood Ring
The Man with the Axe
The Path
Worst:
Secrets from a Girl (Who's Seen it All)
California
