ROLLING STONE #480
Familiarity: Familiar with the artist, not the album
Would I re-listen: Probs not
This was fine. I lowkey hate Rolling Stone for this list. I have heard mostly mediocre records that could be sucked away into the sands of time forever and I would not care at all. This is one of them. It's not even bad! It's just forgettable, boring, so many filler tracks, it's so long. And I ENJOY country music - I was EXCITED to listen to this. But when I finally got to it, I ... read more
Familiarity: All too familiar
Would I re-listen?: Literally no
Listening to this album as an adult makes me want to go back in time and re-parent my 12-year-old-self. LITERALLY WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING PUTTING THIS GARBAGE INTO YOUR EARS? Would I re-listen?: Yes
I was a little nervous when I started listening to this one because I didn't LOVE the first few tracks. This record was very twee, but not in a terribly irritating way. This was twee before twee was mainstream. Anyways, there were definitely some tracks on here I really enjoyed and others that I felt will grow on me as I re-listen to this one. Overall, all of them were solid and this felt really ... read more
I listened to this today just because I wanted to be a hater. And if that's wrong, I don't want to be right.
When I was in 2nd grade and my friends and I wanted to start a band despite not having instruments or musical talent of any sort, we named our band "DLA." This was just the first letter from each of our names smushed together. This is also how AJR got their name, and I resent them for it because this is a lazy ass idea. With that I must speak on ABBA, who did the ... read more
