drug bug - Hell for a Basement
NR

I keep crackheads in my basement.

Immolation - Descent

Disabled chicks 🥵

Jeezy - Let's Get It: Thug Motivation 101
NR

IM A T R A P S T R. Jeezy sounds iller then aids. Don’t have time for a proper relisten but it deserves one.

50 Cent - The Massacre
82

Was wrong on this one. Look to Ryder Music as an example of 50 at his best. Non chalant, gangster, confident, the top dog. That’s his personality in a nutshell, and in a game that is built on power and respect his persona encompasses all of that and more.

Sade - Love Deluxe

Are the critics retarded?

Prince and The Revolution - Purple Rain
90

Grown on me, could continue growing much like my facial hair. We will see.

The Game - Doctor's Advocate
85

Suprised documentary is higher. Less poppy highlights, harder hitting

Jodeci - Diary of a Mad Band
94

Convinced most aoty users get no pussy cause this is at 81 with 89 ratings. Not sure this is much of a revelation though.

SpaceGhostPurrp - VENENO
NR

Not for me. But I respect it (X,..,X). Does that look like the cats face idk,

21 Savage - WHAT HAPPENED TO THE STREETS?
29

Doxylamine succhinate. The beats were atrocious, how an individual with the net worth of Savage allowed these make a wish beats on his album is a mystery. Perhaps the savy spender simply wanted to save money, or perhaps he didn't want to waste prime real estate when he knew his efforts would be quarter hearted. His one note and singular dimensional delivery can work well at times, but it lacked any sense of character or the sinisterness you would expect from a personality named Savage. ... read more

Larry June - Life Is Beautiful

This is fire, like the bonfire of books burning in Germany in 1933.

JAY-Z - The Blueprint

U Don't Know is arguably some of the greatest rapping in hip hop history. Revisiting the seven rappers I considered so called 'Gods' I was surprised to find that Jay-z and 2pac impressed me the most - without historical context. Big L always a dark horse though, I genuinely think he would destroy everyone of those seven, does he have the cultural importance though? Does he have the same aura and presence? I go back and forth, if he does he is arguably a top 4 rapper. Rakim is ... read more

Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP
67

A decent rapper, but the amount of top 50 lists old mate tops is a joke. Sales don't equal quality. And no he didn't sell more because he was white, its because his music is more relatable to white people then something like 2pac or songs like FTP. And he infused 'white' music and pop into his catalogue.

Denzel Curry - ZUU
45

Yappy, choppy, over exaggerated, near rhymes, fling themselves like shit trying to stick to wall. Instead they slide down atrocious, high pitched singing, and cringe chorus's like diarrhea. Nice beat selection plays captain save a hoe.

McKinley Dixon - Magic, Alive!
74

"Theater Kid Music'. Considering I would rather shoot myself then do drama in school this album is actually well done because I don't actually hate it.

Conway the Machine - You Can't Kill God with Bullets
75

'Chairman Mao says power comes from the barrel of the gun' AHAHAHAHAA. Is this cunt serious?

On a blind listen I somewhat assumed their would be a unanimous census of 'this album had a greater comeback then the Brisbane Broncos in the 2025 grand final'. Imagine my shock when I see of all songs BMG at an 88. the highest rated song on the album and a somewhat more understandable - although seemingly inflated, 77 for Lightning Above the Adriatic. Both songs are just so ... read more

Raekwon - The Emperor's New Clothes
65

It's cool for what it is, perhaps because Raekwon isn't a Wu-Tang member who overly appeals to me personality wise the project fails to bring that same excitement and enjoyment as SC2 or even the recent Nas and DJ Premier collab. Because if I'm being honest I feel a little perplexed I didn't enjoy this more. Raekwon is at the top of his game lyrically, barely wasting a bar with his hood legend persona. I guess his delivery felt a little flat and lethargic, perhaps a little ... read more

Gets way worse the more you analyse it. Sounds a little cheap and corny at times, the rapping is well meant but often unsophisticated. I want more relistens to decide if perhaps my last spin was just me being in a bad mood but interested to hear peoples thoughts if they have any?

Too $hort - Life is...Too Short
80

These beats have aged so well. Yeah technically he’s a little basic but he has enough personality and charisma for it to work.

On AllAboutMusic's review of Ras Kass - Soul On Ice
"I think I somewhat better understand your position coming back to the album, it's self expression expressed with technical expertise. Perhaps its impacts his reputation and standings as a rapper as it puts into question his intelligence, but that doesn't need to hurt the record if it allows the listener to better understand his mind. I probably disagree that it adds to the record because it naturally causes me to roll my eyes, probably in response to his arrogance more than anything - but I guess that's a personal experience, I can understand how it could add to your experience. I do think however, that a lot of the people praising the record would take issue if the song was about black people."
On SmoothSaint's review of Big L - Harlem's Finest: Return Of The King
"I was super disappointed by this album tbh. Nothing of particular note - just recycled verses on beats they didn't seem to suit. Like aggressive verses on lofi beats? Only a couple decent features felt really redundant only there to pull casual fans to L imo. I guess I'm interested to see where you disagree"

On Wither's review of Conway the Machine - You Can't Kill God with Bullets
"I mean imo LULU is far worse lyrically I'm surprised you have it significantly above this project. I was in full agreement about his inexpressionism [neologism], and the nondescript nature of self reflection - I've been through so many storms, umbrella broke (something to that effect, but even worse). but the second half was some of his best material though I thought, barring god don't make mistakes. I think Conway is as average as rapper as any but I'm confused at how negative the score is tbh - especially in comparison to your other conway score on projects I would consider far more banal."
