U Don't Know is arguably some of the greatest rapping in hip hop history. Revisiting the seven rappers I considered so called 'Gods' I was surprised to find that Jay-z and 2pac impressed me the most - without historical context. A decent rapper, but the amount of top 50 lists old mate tops is a joke. Sales don't equal quality. And no he didn't sell more because he was white, its because his music is more relatable to white people then something like 2pac or songs like FTP. And he infused 'white' music and pop into his catalogue.
Yappy, choppy, over exaggerated, near rhymes, fling themselves like shit trying to stick to wall. Instead they slide down atrocious, high pitched singing, and cringe chorus's like diarrhea. Nice beat selection plays captain save a hoe.

It's cool for what it is, perhaps because Raekwon isn't a Wu-Tang member who overly appeals to me personality wise the project fails to bring that same excitement and enjoyment as SC2 or even the recent Nas and DJ Premier collab. Gets way worse the more you analyse it. Sounds a little cheap and corny at times, the rapping is well meant but often unsophisticated. I want more relistens to decide if perhaps my last spin was just me being in a bad mood but interested to hear peoples thoughts if they have any?
These beats have aged so well. Yeah technically he’s a little basic but he has enough personality and charisma for it to work.

"I think I somewhat better understand your position coming back to the album, it's self expression expressed with technical expertise. Perhaps its impacts his reputation and standings as a rapper as it puts into question his intelligence, but that doesn't need to hurt the record if it allows the listener to better understand his mind. I probably disagree that it adds to the record because it naturally causes me to roll my eyes, probably in response to his arrogance more than anything - but I guess that's a personal experience, I can understand how it could add to your experience. I do think however, that a lot of the people praising the record would take issue if the song was about black people."

I think Conway is as average as rapper as any but I'm confused at how negative the score is tbh - especially in comparison to your other conway score on projects I would consider far more banal."
