hot take hot take! this is nowhere near the beatles best record! the first half is great, i love come together, maxwells silver hammer and octopus garden are pretty fun tracks, but it starts going downhill for me when the medley starts. the whole idea of a song split into 8 short songs sounds interesting, but im not a fan of it. for me, it just makes it feel like they fast forwarded through the second half, and makes it feel incomplete.

its pretty unlike anything ive heard before, the vocals sort of throw me off, but i enjoyed a couple songs like lie lied lies, my missing link and infection defective. im hoping it grows on me in the future, but for now i cant give it too high of a score

i feel like i should relisten to this, exp jet set and washing machine cuz these rankings dont sit right with me, but i dont fee llike it yet sooo review tbd

not too big on this one either, i LOVE unwind, no queen blues and the diamond sea, wish they had kept that energy for the rest of the album

sonic youth is soo cooool

my favourite sonic youth album, i think i like this just a little more than goo. i loooove the songs sugar kane, purr, 100%, drunken butterfly. kim’s and thurstons voices work so well together and i love how they switch who sings every song or so

cant knock the hustle is a really great song, i wish the rest of the album went in that direction! high as a kite and byzantine are alright, the rest is TERRIBLE! its all popslop!!!
