AJJ - Knife Man
98

Was this album made for me?

Beck - Odelay
95

Sure this may be directed more towards mainstream at the time and he only sticks with one genre, but I still think this is his best record. The experimentation in the instrumental saves this album and makes it unique. Becks lyrics are very good and the whole album is top quality. Probably in My top favorite albums ever

Curren$y - Pilot Talk
91

I can’t find a single flaw

Earl Sweatshirt - Some Rap Songs
89

This album is easily earls best for me. I had low expectations and was thinking it would be more of a compilation album but all the songs work really well together. The short tack length worked surprisingly. I can’t help it point out the similarities to Madvilliany. Earl has a very monotone delivery that shows little emotion through his voice and at the same time the production is very abstract and kind of experimental. Overall this album just works and so far it’s in my top 3 rap ... read more

Beach House - Bloom

Why can’t I give this a 10 I want to but I can’t

Fashawn - Boy Meets World
98

Okay so basically this is one album that is super underrated has great story telling and is a masterpiece. You should listen to it it’s the best story telling I’ve ever heard on a rap album plus Exile is very good as well.

Joanna Newsom - Ys

Holy shit this is amazing

Death Grips - Bottomless Pit
92

This is my favorite DG album criticalky TMS is better but I love the abrasivness of this album! It’s a masterpiece

Blu & Exile - Below the Heavens
100

This is my favorite album, every listen is amazing. Blu has outstanding lyricism throughout the whole album, no filler here every bar comes right from Blu’s soul. I’ve never clicked with an album like this and I doubt I ever will. Outside of Blu Exile gives incredible production that makes Blu’s words really stand out and it puts you in a different world. All together this album is completely flawless and I just wish there was more of this kind of Blu.

JID - DiCaprio 2

JID is talented he just sucks at making albums

Black Thought & Salaam Remi - Streams of Thought, Vol. 2
83

This is a lyrical masterpiece. I enjoy this album a lot more than the first SOT, this is a perfect example of a legend still killing shit. Honestly I think black Thought is in his prime right now.

Cannibal Ox - The Cold Vein
96

The production is beautiful, and everything else holds its weight. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite albums ever, I can’t really find much wrong with this album

Edan - Beauty and the Beat
100

This album is perfect. The production is so unique for a hip hop album, and it’s honestly the closest thing to psychedelic rap. Edan is a mastermind with his production and his lyrics are top tier as well. I wouldn’t change anything about this album at all, this is a real hidden gem.

Homeboy Sandman & Edan - Humble Pi
88

The production is perfect on Humbe Pi. Homeboy sandman has a nice unique flow with great lyricism. There is great chemistry between Edan and Sandman. Also I think the production on this album is better produced than all the Wyoming albums.

subject to change.

Lupe Fiasco - DROGAS WAVE
98

Lupe pushes himself creatively to make his best album yet. The concept is very vivid. The album is filled with waster eggs and many hidden things that Lupe fans will try to figure out, and the more they figure out the better the album will be for every day listeners. This is not an album anyone should rate after 1-10 listens. The album itself is filled with metaphors and some of the best lyrics I’ve heard. This album easily has the best production out of a Lupe album, as well as his best ... read more

Blu & Shafiq Husayn - The Blueprint
26

Blu isn’t dead he’s still releasing projects like The Turn Up from last year, and plenty great projects in the last 5 years but what is this!? This is awful and impossible to listen to Blu has the potential to make some of the most essential albums in underground rap history, and he releases shit like this, it’s just sad

Black Thought - Streams of Thought, Vol. 1
78

I was expecting more from Black Thought’s first solo project. For what it was it was a pretty good. There isn’t much meaning as I was hoping in the lyrics, but his bars are outstanding. It wasn’t everything I was hoping for in his first solo project but, nonetheless still an incredible EP. Can’t wait until he releases his first full solo album.

Del The Funky Homosapien - Both Sides of the Brain
85

Crazy underrated album. Only 5 ratings should be a crime

The Roots - undun
100

Greatest album of all time. The sound of this album is amazing, along with Black Thought and the features on this albums work. They paint a vivid picture of the life of Redford Stevens and the struggles of life in Philly.
