just a glorified reimagined album, still pretty good.

i think there are 3 key elements to this album that make it perfect.
1: the instrumentation, its raw, well played, and works perfectly with the lyrics
2. the songwriting/lyrics these lyrics give a deep look into connors life. poison oak particularly was one of the most emotional songs i’ve ever heard
3. most importantly, connors voice. it is unique, it is emotional, it is comforting, it is beautiful. connors voice is what makes bright eyes so special.
Faves: BCKYRD, *equip sunglasses*, dirty office bongos, digging in, we’re gonna make it to Kilby
Least faves: the song formerly known as intro

Least faves: good in bed, boys will be boys (good message though)
Faves: bad decisions, Brooklyn bridge to chorus, the adults are talking, ode to the mets, not the same anymore

Faves: Leave it in the sun , Ohio turnpike, scram, state line, the beauty of breathing
