he really did kill slim shady. he turned an intriguing, funny, and well-written character into a twitter ragebaiter with an ai voice
ccr tries to get every member of the band to do their own songs. only one of them is good at it, and that one member usually doesn't care enough to give his best material.
also most of the songs are about how everyone hates each other, and it comes off as really petty and annoying.
out-of-touch boomers make music for out-of-touch yuppies. it's abundantly clear that none of their hearts are into it because why on earth would you be passionate about something like this (besides "got it made", that song's pretty solid for a "tango in the night"-era fleetwood mac ripoff)

just really boring and dated and malformed. i want to be one of the nerds that defends this album, but the more time passes, the less i like what this has to offer.

"revolution 9 isn't looked at as a failed experiment tho. it brought many people's attention to avant-guarde sounds & it's a big reason why avant-guarde music influenced so many artists and bands. if the beatles never made musique concrete, the caretaker either wouldn't be as weird or wouldn't be as popular
