Jack Stauber is probably the very first artist that inspired me on an artistic and emotional level. i do not remember how i discover him and it's been a long time since i actually listened to his music, the fact he hasn't uploaded anything since 2022 doesn't help sadly, even though i think he still updates on his patreon. but i know ever since i was around the age of 12 that i loved his music and his videos.
to put it simply, i love mixed medias, collages and anything that is ... read more
almost...uplifting? hopeful? i certaintly do not sense the dread of the previous albums in the sound. it's interesting and i quite enjoyed it.
this is an evil album. it's merciless, desiring to hurt you out of pure enjoyment. it wants nothing but to confuse you until your mind splits in half and you drown in your own tears while it laughs at you. it wants you dead. i love it.
what i truly love about swans is that all their songs feel like an omen. the seer particularly, feels like the sky opened to make way to a benevolent yet terrifying god descending onto earth. it is not their scariest album (to be kind is), it's an onnipotent being who present itself bare and pure to the mind of humans that can't comprehend it.
sincerely underwhelmed. it feelsl ike they're not even trying, it's not bad and i can appreciated a more mellow sound but it doesn't feel like true mastodon. would not listen again sadly.
i don't know, after the masterpieces leviathan and crack the skye i am not that impressed. there's some really nice moments in this and it has a strong opening i quite like, but it does feel repetitive after a while. not unlisteanable but not something i'd listen to again and i must admit i got a little bored, considering how they have much better works in their discography. not bad but not the greatest.
i'm two songs in and i already know i found a new project i will enjoy. usually with black metal i'm very selective (as i am with all the music i listen to ), i tend to put the song on the background as i study or do something else and they usually don't leave me with a lot. this cannot be said for panopticon: the drowning noise, staple of the genre, paired with the screaming of the singer just hits right for me. also it's a leftist/anti fascist black metal project so i ... read more
should probably listen to it again now that i've listened to something that isn't green day and random music my sister would let me listen in her emo phase on the mp3 of her samsung galaxy s3 neo. still, there's a lot of nice tracks that im emotionally involved with and it's probably my fav green day alongside american idiot.
a classic of its genre and i appreciated it, but my disinterest of synthwave makes it impossible for me to give it too much importance. it is definitely something i'd listen to again but not something i'd be a huge fan of, although i fully respect it and understand why carpenter brut is so beloved, it just doesn't personally stick that much. favourite songs are Le Perv, Roller Monster, Meet Matt Stryker, Paradise Warfare, Run, Sally, Run! (when it get intensive), Turbo Killer, ... read more
i love everything devi makes. no artist has followed me in life like she did. i want things to be beautiful is m,y favourite song she has made alongside the tender surrender (which is my favourite song ever)
love the concept of a black metal album about turning into a wolf but sadly didn't left me with a lot, the instrumental is good but it just doesn't stick to me the way other black metal projects did. really cool though
