Would be an easy 100 if POYG wasn’t on the album
Ok Alright - 90
Never Catch Me - 85
I can’t really think of much I can say about LTIY, just listen to it for yourself, it’s worth it
It’s rough, it’s got that raw edge, I think this album truly excelled in what it aimed to sound like. The album cover only proves this more
It’s a very relaxing album with cozy production, however it sometimes felt like I was listening to the same song over and over again
Good album but I liked plastic death more, I feel like I say this about everything I give around this score but it may just need time to grow on me
100th rating which is bangin… anywayssss this is a good album that deserves more recognition. Seriously this is very impressive to make at the age of 15. My biggest complaint is probably that the vocals are quite weak, however it’s not a huuuge deal as I actually think they mesh well with the instrumental at points. My favourite tracks were Cranberry Lake and ofc The Waltzing Mouse
Ahh, Danny Brown’s breakout record. You can certainly hear his sound developing here, as it feels much more raw compared to his later stuff like AE or STH, although the experimental production stays. Still, this album has it’s fair share of bangers. This is my first time ever hearing this mixtape, so hopefully with future listens this will grow on me more
I don’t understand how Rated R has a higher score than this, I personally enjoyed this one alot more. It has many more songs that I’d want to revisit
Despite me never hearing I Am or Nastradamus this is genuinely a very good comeback album, very consistent all around and some great bars here
I understand the praise and it’s well produced but it just didn’t click with me all too much
Thankfully this album’s quality had a noticeable improvement in the back half
Hearing dj drama’s producer tag as a big cmiygl fan caught me so off guard you have no idea
I’m not too huge on some of the beats but this is still a fantastic album, the rap performances on this thing are absolutely spectacular
Denzel’s raw energy on this album is fucking crazy, this could easily surpass melt my eyez for me with more listens. Really good
Such a fun album, other than somebody’s calling me I vibe with every track on here
