This is one of the best sounding live albums I have ever heard. In absolute awe.
Though I enjoyed a few tracks in here, it really does feel like Travis has become an A.I. Generated version of his former self. Also, I don't see how this project can be considered "experimental." as its mostly run-of-the-mill trap with a minor amount of trap influence. I feel like the white teens are calling anything that since Yeezus and Peggy have clicked with that demographic.
I remember playing this album at a bonfire during my 8th grade summer and not being invited back. Jesus this thing is behemoth of faux self loathing and self pity. The reggae influence is so off-putting and really bizzare. Those damn ukuleles are back on this one too on a few tracks, and boy do the make me want to tear my ears off. Speaking of tearing my ears off, Tyler Joseph's vocal inflection on many of these tracks is just so goddamn grating. Also some of his flat out worst lryics show up ... read more
I really enjoyed this album when I was younger to a disturbing degree. I personally have no Idea how I was able to sit through this track list back then. The mix is so thin, the usage of ukulele throughout the album is so fucking strange considering the "deep" and "depressing" lyrical content. The only saving moments are Car Radio and Truce, and that's mostly due to having good memories surrounding those songs.
Wow, thank god for the era of streaming services or I might've never heard this masterpiece.
So many enthralling soundscapes, every time I start this album I have to listen all the way through. So many catchy and memorable moments.
