this is the album that got me interested in folk punk. It's a brilliant, tight album, it pretty much never drags on and feels like it's the exact length it needs to be. With brilliant social commentary and songs of the love of people.

This album is a masterpiece. Every single song contribues to the story of Pat's recovery. From the fast and fun 'Vampires are Poseurs' (possibly my favourite on the album) praising freight trains and hitch hike hosts for making their moneyless lives easier, or 'More About Alcoholism' where Pat sings of walking the line between wanting the financial and social security of a nine to five and wanting to tell his boss to fuck off, just to be free. Man, as someone who was previously a huge Green Day fan this album deeply saddens me. I listened to this not expecting much after the "head up their own arse" marketing campaign attacking trap beats and swedish songwriters, but i never thought it could be this bad. The soulless clap sound effects and the horrible immature lyrics that sound like they were written by an 11 year old who listens to Green Day and Blink-182 make me want to die.
