Real classic indie rock record here. I have turbo nostalgia for the late 00s from when I first discovered it. I'd only ever listened to standard UK radio rock so this blew my fucking mind back in the day. Still holds up 24 years on.
It's DSOTM. For 50+ years more ink has been spilled about this album then perhaps any other. Its influence still carries to this day. Anyone saying this is overrated is ignorant and a tryhard poser. It's ok to personally dislike it, like that's whatever. But people aggressively going out of their way to try and do revisionist history with this record is laughable.
I haven't listened to these guys since El Camino but this was a very nice return to their early 00s low-fi garage days. Nothing new or amazing, but I am a sucker for a blues groove and some ripping pentatonic solos. It's basic but I don't care.
