I’ve relistened to this mixtape during an autumn evening walk while it was dark, windy, slightly rainy, and cool outside, so I might be a bit biased
Decent EP, definitely better than MOTOMAMI though. Now it's time for the LUX relisten, I hope I will enjoy it a bit more this time.
I like this one way more than her debut. The production and vocals are much more engaging here.
I didn’t really like LUX on my first listen, so I decided to listen to her discography from the beginning. It’s apparently not my type of music, but I’ll still listen to all of her albums.
Finally, I don’t have to listen to any more post-MMLP2 Eminem albums
I hope he won’t ever threaten to release a Side C to this shit
Eminem’s rapping skills haven’t gone anywhere, but it doesn’t matter because he seems to have forgotten what music is supposed to sound like
It’s good, but I enjoyed Recovery more. I think the pop-rap songs here are worse than on his previous album, and some of the hooks and beats are genuinely bad. Bad Guy is an amazing song though and it’s the only one on this album that I keep coming back to. Eminem raps great on most of the tracks, but unfortunately, there isn’t another song that comes close to Bad Guy as a whole.
It’s the most overhated and underrated album of all time, in my opinion. Everything on this album, from Eminem’s flow, delivery, and rhyme schemes to the production, is amazing. The reason it’s not rated higher is probably because of the accents or the controversial lyrical content, which likely wouldn’t fly if the album came out today. But to me, those accents and lyrics give the album its character and make it truly unique.
It's a good soundtrack overall, but I don't think I'll be coming back to most of these songs in the future
The highs on this album are incredibly high, the production and flows are just as good, if not better, than on MMLP, but once again the overall score has to be brought down because songs like Drips and My Dad’s Gone Crazy somehow made it onto the final tracklist
It's an amazing album, one of the few Eminem projects I regularly return to. The rapping and storytelling are excellent, though it could’ve achieved an even higher score if some tracks and skits were left off entirely.
I still think it’s a great album, but somehow most of the songs just keep aging worse for me
It’s a noticeable improvement over his debut, but still not something I’d come back to
