It’s definitely not great, but I appreciate Carti’s evolution as an artist even more after hearing this
Not as bad as some people make it out to be, but it’s definitely disappointing and below Kanye’s standards
Great collab album from Kanye & Cudi. Same deal as with ye, could’ve been a little longer. I like their chemistry way more than Kanye & Jay on Watch the Throne. Also, Freeee is way overrated for me.
Great album. I wish it was a bit longer, but we got KSG the same year, so I can’t really complain. Ghost Town and Violent Crimes are both probably in my top 20 Kanye songs.
Another amazing album from Kanye, would’ve been even better if Send It Up and I’m In It weren’t on it. The second half of New Slaves is one of the best-sounding pieces of music of all time. Also, Guilt Trip is underrated, easily top 3 on the album.
New Day being rated only 77 is criminal, easily one of the best on this album, if not the best. Overall, great project, but I expected more from a Jay & Kanye collab
I can’t deny its influence, but musically Kanye has way stronger projects. Still, it’s a great album though.
Even though it’s an amazing album and Kanye is one of my favorite artists of all time, I just can’t listen to some of these songs anymore. This one and MBDTF really grew off me. Back then, I could play the whole thing start to finish with no complaints (maybe except DAHG, which is just pretty boring and repetitive), but now if I hear Good Morning, Stronger, I Wonder, Barry Bonds, or Flashing Lights, I’m skipping immediately. I still think they’re great songs, they just ... read more
Definitely the best album from the College trilogy, and probably my favorite Kanye album overall
Amazing debut album. I don’t really go back to the big hits like All Falls Down, Jesus Walks, or Through the Wire that often anymore, but Family Business gotta be one of my top 5 songs ever, and top 1 Kanye track for me.
It’s not just my favorite album from the whole trilogy, it’s one of my favorite albums of all time. Everything about it is perfect to me: rapping, production, consistency, melodies, replay value. WTF SMH is bringing the overall score a bit down, but it’s still an amazing song. I’m truly impressed that Nas is able to drop a masterpiece like this almost 30 years after Illmatic and It Was Written.
