The first Nas album that I’ve rated lower than the average user score. This album just doesn’t feel like a Nas album. I’m not saying it’s Damian Marley’s fault or that he’s a bad artist by any means, but they have no chemistry, which is why this album has no replay value for me. There are no bad songs on it, but there’s also no standout track I’d want to come back to.
Nas is the only rapper to have songs like Still Dreaming and Who Killed It? on the same album
There are no necessarily awful songs, flow is great, and the melodies are decent, but overall it’s a boring, forgettable, and way too long album, with a few standout tracks like Nazareth Savage and Thief’s Theme. Of all Nas’s albums, critics somehow decided this one deserves a must hear.
Amazing comeback album. Some hooks and beats could be better, but it also has some of my favorite Nas’s songs like You're da Man or One Mic.
Almost flawless. I’m not a big fan of the hook on Watch Dem Ni**as and Black Girl Lost is slightly weaker than the rest of the tracks.
