Swans - Deliquescence
100

Yeah... this is peak

Michael Gira - Drainland
72

Decent solo album from Gira with some good cuts. Sounds like the beginning of the Soundtracks For The Blind era.

Swans - Omniscience
81

Genuinely a great live album. Sound quality is fantastic, and it improves upon a few "Love of Life" songs.

Swans - Anonymous Bodies in an Empty Room
68

Decent live album with below-average sound quality.

Skin - The World of Skin
73

Lots of forgettable tracks but a few gems.

Swans - Feel Good Now
70

If it weren't for the terrible sound quality, this would be a great live album. Many of the versions of Children of God tracks are pretty awesome and heavy here.

Swans - LIVE ROPE
100

Unfathomably epic in sound and scale

Maruja - Knocknarea
88

So far still the best release of 2023, just wow

The Doors - The Doors
91

Still a masterpiece and the Doors' best work. Jim Morrison's charisma is unbeatable, and the bluesy electric pianos and plucky guitars are just a great vibe. I hate how hard it is to find physical versions that aren't censored, though. I would listen to it more if the untampered version wasn't seemingly just on streaming services...

Stevie Wonder - Songs in the Key of Life
89

A wonderful, life-affirming album that doesn't overstay its welcome despite a 1hr 45 minute runtime

Ramones - Ramones
77

Fun album, but after 7 or 8 tracks you start to realize they are kind of repeating the same riffs with different lyrics

Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run
86

Jungleland is phenomenal

Queen - A Night at the Opera
79

The album flows great, but it really does feel like a bunch of decent tracks and then Bohemian Rhapsody

Brian Eno - Another Green World
83

The Ambient tracks near the end are the best part. Eno truly is a master of that sound.

Brian Eno - Here Come the Warm Jets
75

A lot more experimental than I was expecting. It's easy to see why Brian Eno switched to pure Ambient music soon after this.

David Bowie - Diamond Dogs
82

Has a questionable start but the 2nd half is banger after banger

David Bowie - Aladdin Sane
83

Ziggy Stardust meets American rock music. Less glam and more hard rock, but a fantastic album nearly on par with its predecessor.

Can - Ege Bamyası
78

Good, but very weird

Rina Sawayama - Hold the Girl
67

Rina unfortunately made a pretty generic pop album this time, a far cry from the ingenuity of her debut
