The Residents - Not Available

ok what the fuck.
way ahead of its time, even if it is a bit gimmicky in its experimentation it cannot be understated how much this influenced experimental bands of the future such as ween and primus

Kanye West - Yandhi

with some better mixing and maybe some extension this couldve fit perfectly in kanye's catalog in my opinion. hopefully kanye returns to this eventually.

Kanye West - JESUS IS KING

im really happy for you kanye imma let you finish but this short album shit is getting old

i cant help but feel like this album was so rushed considering how much kanye did the previous year, all the stuff hes been going through, and the development hell this album went through. maybe its just because we were all anticipating this album a ton, but it didnt deliver. the first half is very bland and forgettable the 2nd half is better but its nothing masterpiece worthy. im proud that kanye can ... read more

Pavement - Slanted and Enchanted

this, this is great. potato album

Beach House - Teen Dream
83

this was pleasant, but i didnt care for it too much. its probably just me but i was expecting more "dream" and less "pop"

BROCKHAMPTON - GINGER
73

yea i wasnt really feeling this one. towards the end it picks up some slack but all in all it just feels a bit cluttered and clumsy. maybe brockhampton has always been like this and i just think differently because either my thoughts have changed or because this is a new project, but i dont know if i can really call this a return to form. all in all i do enjoy some stuff off this project, the rest is really just bland and dis interesting. as much as id like to say brockhampton proves themself ... read more

best rap album ive heard yet

so much to like about this, easily the best production out of any rap album ive ever heard. each and every track feels so unique and distinct from each other. the character that travis miller plays on this album doesnt need to be woke to be interesting. he has an impressively large willy and it shows. its able to mix so much that makes this genre so great and such a powerhouse that it is today, from cloud rap to gangsta rap to even jazz rap. it makes travis have an ... read more

writing this review as i listen to it

today i felt like listening to something id hate. minute in yea this is fucking shit so far. typically i defend a lot of modern hip hop and rnb and say it has its own place to be appreciated, and i think this fits there too. but ive heard people make jokes about how modern music is just "imma baunna dmmmaa draaaa" mumble rap shit and id always think "come on its not all that bad". bladee isnt real hes a fucking hologram man. he sounds ... read more

been sittin on this one for a while

uhh keeping this one short. damn good. morrisey good singer. very dreary and miserable and nice to listen to at night. my only wish is that every track sounded like there is a light that never goes out.

Talking Heads - Speaking in Tongues
93

its no remain in light but if it isnt boppy god damnit

perhaps with a bit of eno magic id like it more, and some of the tracks drag on a bit too long

Brand New - The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me
89

woah! a good emo album?

most if not every song on here feel very sincere about their theme. its able to take serious topics and address them in a respectable way that most better known emo acts have never been able to do, keeping them in territory that doesnt romanticize ideas like death and failed relationships. the last couple tracks do feel more of the same with no distinct traits, so that does knock it down a bit. other than that, would recommend this even if you are not very interested in ... read more

Ween - The Mollusk
97

yo. this is great.

of course i figured that but its just so great at being able to bounce from tone to genre without being having no focus. this album can go from heartbreaking love stories to Waving My Dick in the Wind and be completely confident about it. the idea around it is just so fun and i cant get over it. probably the best Ween album though i wouldn't be surprised if they can top something like this, knowing their skill.
