580 people on this website wrote a review of this album saying something along the lines of "Hauntingly beautiful, best dark ambient album, this is art". While this is all of the above, I don't like staring at an intricate mural for seven hours. I get it isn't supposed to be fun, or entertaining, it's supposed to mean something thought-provoking, and the run time is necessary to depict it. I wish Bowie stuck with this piano-heavy approach a bit more, but with that being said not every song on this album is great. Changes, Oh! You Pretty Things, Life On Mars?, Kooks, all great. It feels a bit frontloaded at first, but Bowie still saves a few highlights till the end like Andy Warhol and Queen Bitch, albeit less than the first half.
