The big band backing makes this one of my favourite live jazz albums of all time. Reza/Giant Steps/Reza is absolutely mind blowing.

Unique, short and sweet. Earl has put together a cohesive little album with one of the most beautiful album ending songs of all time (Riot!).

From rapid riffs to slow chugging this album shows Meshuggah on a high. This album (and Lamb Of God) was my introduction to extreme metal when I was 14. Anyway, this album will smack you around the head and do it again a few times just to be sure.

Perfection. Dynamic, going from gentle acoustic strumming to harsh noisescapes this album has something so unique about it. Truly worth listening start to finish, it’s a journey.

Weird as all fuck but so far ahead of its time. Never gets old, never will.

Sombre as Opeth gets. Only track I’m not so big on is “Weakness” but it’s the closer and fits as well as anything could I guess. Not a moment wasted, sad and relatively calm but still so engaging. Masterpiece.

After “The Trilogy” it was always gonna be hard for Swans to recreate something so huge. This album is pretty great, better than Leaving Meaning, not as good as The Seer though.

Fucking I Fucking love Fucking this Fucking album. Fucking.

Fucking great Emo/Pop Punk (emo purists leave me alone ffs), cathartic and energetic. Short and bittersweet.

Fucking solid album, Dookie was tough to follow but Green Day clearly still had gas in the tank.

A good black/thrash EP overall, the first two tracks are stronger.

Way ahead of it’s time. Trent Reznor knew exactly what he was doing from the start.

I love this album, Frank was underutilised in MCR, I’m glad to see him show his talent. Raw, emotional and very well produced.

A great album, the fall off is devastating. They showed so much potential here and completely wasted it.

A classic. No skips, great energy and versatility.

I appreciate the style change here but it doesn’t always work. Many songs I love, a few I never come back to.

This album is very close to my heart. Authentically emotional, full of emo bangers.

A 2000s indie classic. Not perfect but the highs are very high.
