The album can be fun but it's really damn cringe. I wouldn't wanna be caught listening to this. Masochist Machine and Coldmetalkiss are easily the best songs here imo.

No album has given such mixed feelings. I love "Half Alive", that song is really great, I hope they do more shoegaze-infuenced stuff. "Button Eyes" is probably the worst track from this year I've listened to, I'm not thuggin with it, it's pretty cringy. "Priestess" and "Afterlife" are great too, but I ... read more

I love the instrumentation here, not a big fan of the vocals, but they're usually decent so it's fine. This album is like a roulette between a catchy enjoyable song, to a corny song (ex. ".Bury Me.").
Favourites: Spit, Mirror Soul, Talk is Cheap
The second half is peak, first half is mostly boring. Also there's more than 16 tracks and "Streets of Karnaca (Combat)" is not a real song, don't know why that's there.
Highlights: "Dishonored 2 Main Theme", "Jewel of the South", "Watery Grave"

This is enjoyable, but also mediocre, it's nothing like what they would later make being "Swan Dive", which is truly a 10/10 album. Track 1 and 5 sound like demos for Swan Dive I think - I find that to be mildly cool.

"Deathbeds" is one of my favourite songs ever, it's downright majestic, love the sorrowfulness of it. "Join the Club" is good, but doesn't come anywhere near Deathbeds imo.

The first 2 songs are absolute 10/10's, they are the songs that got me into metal music and in turn helped define my general music taste, and also in turn I've found a lot of 9/10 albums, and some 10/10 albums. The other songs are good, but those first two, man they are something else.

Little bit dissapointed tbh, I found HotBG to be enjoyable overall, but was also bored at equal amounts. I think this will need to grow on me. Despite usually liking atmospheric bm, I feel the riffs were just kinda dull to me, and I for the most part don't like the ambient breaks. Just kinda too long imo, I think it would benefit more being around 45 minutes, instead of 53.

Suprisingly good considering this is Damian's first album, and I believe they were 16 or 17 when this album was released, which is pretty crazy. This album is pretty damn sad, kinda amplified by the fact that I listened to it at night in darkness, which made me think about things that trouble me, as this type of music does in such a context. In this album, the screams are more present in the sound, and ... read more

I got recommended this by @SultrixSymphony and I suprisingly really liked this album, I came in with expectations of mediocrity and cringe, but pleasantly I am wrong. Don't get me wrong, it's still kinda cringe, and I dislike track 3, but I think it's good. Suprisingly heavy too.

Holy shit, this album goes so fucking hard. Some real sick riffs here, and wild crazy screams, the high-pitch screams are what I love here, but I'm not too keen on the growl vocals. Kinda reminds me of Darko US for the riffage and high-pitch screams, and also Korn in terms of the singing. To me this is one of the best nu metal albums of modern times. I think this album has the potential to ... read more

This album was recommended to me by @SultrixSymphony. Before listening to this I have listened to "Coma Blue" many times, and I really love that song, 9.5/10 honestly. "Unaware" also has a very catchy chorus and it's my second favourite, which now I should say the good choruses are what drive this album so far in my opinion. I'd describe this album as kinda repetitive, but still keeps you ... read more

Straight up harrowing-sounding album, honestly the most bleak album I've listened to, but also simultaneously beautiful. Like many Sadness albums, these songs have dark ambient/post-rock sections that gradually reach the climax, and then transitions into a blackgaze song, and this does it best I think. Also not to forget the pained atmospheric screams from Damian, ... read more

Love this album cover. This is some pretty great stoner/sludge metal that reminds me of Gojira a bit. First song "Loom" is 100% my fave from the album, the most memorable track here imo. The same few sentences are repeated throughout the song, and this is the most post-metal song on here I'd say.

The album has quite a few mediocre tracks, all dominating the first half of the album, but it starts to pick up in the second half, "The Arrogance of Agony" and "Symphony of a Dying Star' really help pull this album out of mediocrity, especially the former. It's the symphonic deathcore stuff that bores me, but I like this album a whole lot more when it focuses on ... read more

This is the first live release I've ever really been interested in, and it was worth the time. Obviously, since this is a live recording the sound quality is a lot worse than the studio version, but I can put up with that - another issue is that at times I really stuggle to hear the vocals, due to being drowned out by the guitar. If you love the studio version, you'll prob love this too, but to a lesser ... read more

I had to get out my cd player to listen to this, and I don't have much room, so a little inconvenient, but I love this soundtrack. Simply chill and beautiful, with 2 suprise punk rock songs at the end of the soundtrack. Glad I own this.

I wish the album ended with "Bloom" cause it is the perfect album closer, it's such a beautiful piece of instrumental melodeath, the last song though great I wish was either standalone or earlier in the album, such as after "The Weight", kinda dampens the experience a bit. A pretty fun melodeath/core album that bounces from good but boring, to pretty great stuff. There also seems to be some minor electronic parts throughout this album. "Artorias" is by far my favourite on the album, has the most memorable riffs and is one of few songs here with a chorus, and it does it really well, love the way the vocalist scream-sings "Known ... read more

I can't lie there are some boring filler tracks here, but songs like "Retreating Into a Dying Mind", "Numb" and "I'm Going to Do it" are harrowingly amazing. Some of the most depressive songs I've heard. "Solitude" is a great opener, but doesn't compete with those 3 in my opinion.
