Honestly, late sixties psych of the standard variery. Someone compared this to High Tide's Sea Shanties and now I want to strangle them. A friendly strangle. It has some cool covers of Hey Jude and shit, which is cool.
This is great! Inspired by Peter Hammill I hear, to good effect. So incredibly beautiful but also very proggy, much proggier than most of Hammills works. In The Dark is so unimaginably beautiful somehow. Truly some of the greatest lyrics I have ever heard, extremly emotive and hard hitting. They work so well with the music. I think Matthew Plays every instrument on this album, and though he is no master of any of them, his modest playing is good enough
Forget my previous review!!! This is, in fact, AMAZING!!! Relistening a few times have truly revealed the beauty of these works to me! Well, nothing here quite reaches the level of the best stuff from their two first albums, but it certainly deserves a rating higher than 61.
Me and my dad laughed our asses off listening to this one. It sounds so sincere and proper, but somehow so unserious. The singer has a very proper, almost radio host dialect. He sounds so serious and enunciates so clearly, but it gives the opposite effect with the lyics, which are so fantastical in comparison. Playing is all good, unremarkable.
I kept reading it as klemzer, but now I realize how stupid I have been... No rating yet, still need to listen to more of this stuff. Pretty great though, Especially the last track. No clue, but its cool
Perhaps i need to really dig into this one again, but from a cursory listen, this is mostly pretty great! Very nice voice
Whoa, first!
This artist is made up of Roye Albrighton's former bandmates from Rainbow.
Firstly I love this cover soooo much!
Title track is a real good song, like extremely good! I love Jerry Berkers' voice (and accent) and together with some great playing and cool lyrics this is a great collection of very cool kraut! Very prevalent guitar by Bill Barone.
Great stuff, not quite on Mother Universe level, but this is a good album. Reccomended if you like strange obscure kraut or prog in general.
