I understand it's importance to the genre and as the launching point of one of the greatest artists/duos of the 21st century but my god the songs on this are tediouuuuuus. It's not even the length of these that make them feel drawn out, but the lack of any kind of dynamic instrumentation on them which is something I never would have thought would be a problem with any project the French duo are attached to. At times this album hits my Allman Brothers/Molly Hatchet/Blackfoot g spot perfectly. And the best part is there is exactly 0 confederate flags on the cover.
