not kens best not his worst. still not great tho
EDIT: 32->70 I GAVE THIS A WHAT??? he'll no my eyes are opened. it isn't perfect but it's pretty good
I was expecting jokes but it was better than i expected. like a lot. it was actually not bad? Definitely not boring. Will i listen to another Lil B project? ehhhh maybe. T-shirts Buddens is a great diss track, and Pretty Boy, Wanton Soup, All I Know, and SMDH -also went super hard
Im not a huge fan of I Talk To The Wind but this album is a classic. So iconic. I've never heard an album so ahead of it's time. this album came out in 1969 let that sink in. more than 50 years ago. and it sounds brand new. a true masterpiece. Not perfect, but a work of art
ALSO y'all sleep on Moonchild. It's an experience. Close your eyes and just experience
hot damn that was great. bruno mars has amazing vocals and besides a few songs this album is really really good. even then the other few songs still are just good. underrated for sure.
Fav Songs: everything but Chunky, Finesse, and Straight up and down is a 10/10 song
EDIT: 91->83 I really overrate things huh
It's no secret im not a huge Summrs fan. I've only heard What We Have before I heard this LP and I gave that a 19/100. While this project is better, it still has a lot of flaws. Almost Every single song literally sounds the exact same. Same key. Same Production. Same Sounds. Except for Never Ever, Like A Band, First 48, and Where we Left Off. Those songs all happen to be the best on the album by a lot. This project isn't terrible but it definitely gets boring to hear the same thing over and ... read more
It works. For the most part, it's not perfect, but damn it's good. A better American Idiot
Edit: 84->93 fuck you alright remove disenchanted and blood and this album is like 99% perfect
God I love this. I don't even know how to like talk about like the concept of the album it's just man i love it.
The End is an amazing opener
Dead! is fucking incredible
This is How I Disappear is grand and amazing
The Sharpest Lives is uhhhh it's good!
WTTBP is WTTBP come on
I don't love you while i hate ... read more
It's just not good. The Overpass, King of the Clouds, and Roaring 20s aren't terrible but everything else is. It's corny, bland, and just bad.
All of the singles from this album (minus Emperors New Clothes) all suck. The second half of the album had no real bad songs. it has great songs, but mostly good songs. The first 4 songs are uhhh something ... Also for some reason i hate the vibe of this album but it isn't terrible
This album has a few great songs in the middle but a very bad start and finish
This album just goes up, down. Uppp and then dowwwwwwwn.I genuinely think i like 5 songs, dislike 4 and im half and half on 1.
I would say one out of every 4 songs misses and the overall vibe gets switched around a lot, but this album is a classic let's be real.
you know what, i don't hate this LP. is it nostalgia based? ehhhh maybe. I see why people don't like it. Every song from this project that appears on Vessel is just worse in comparison, especially Trees. But the other songs, Ruby, Anathema, Kitchen Sink (actually just the Zack verse), Clear (my favorite). Even Slowtown used to be my favorite twenty one pilots song and it's not terrible. Lovely and Be Concerned are both not amazing and I really dislike Forest (god the fanfiction ... read more
Gentrification: The Album is overall not very enjoyable. I mean, it's interesting?? Certainly not boring. JPRO delivers some absolutely hilarious bars whether he means to or not. Hearing a man talk about Jesus, porn addiction, weed, and loving family all on one clean song on a completely clean album?? it's gonna be funny at some points. To be honest, the instrumentals on this album aren't that bad. It kinda saves the album quite a bit in my opinion. To bank on more positives, the song Jump is ... read more
It's not a perfect album by any means. There are misses, there are times when it's boring, but it totally works for me as a concept album. Definitely a classic, but not the most consistent classic. Ups and Downs
EDIT: 73->83 ts fucks
6ix9ine does a great job with providing a boring and grueling listen. Most of the points I can give to this album are for the first song BILLY which is pretty good, and the vibe is overall similar and if you put this on a very low background in the back of a like club rave or something maybe it could work for just a headbanger but his lyrics and cadence are just terrible. GUMMO, RONDO, and KEKE are the hits that make up the other 3 tracks of the first 4 tracks and they are bad but not horrible. ... read more
Definitely an underrated classic put in the background by Grimm's other projects and his work with MF DOOM. This album has high points, low points, a fair amount of skits/interludes that all work but mostly very good consistency that makes for an easy listen.
Don't always do a favorite songs list but
Favorite songs: Life and Death, Foolish, Rain Blood, Voices Pt. 0, Yes You Are (It's Only A Movie), Howl, Words, Omega.
Least Favorite: Freedom, but there are a few "least favorites" ... read more
I could be underrating this album but I'm not a huge fan of every song on this project. While it has bright spots like Krazy World, Next Levels, Anti-Matter, and the absolutely amazing song that is No Snakes Alive. The rest of the album is consistently meh-good. However, I think it gets a bit boring, especially within the last 5 tracks.
Even though Can I Watch? and Lickupon are most definitely in my top ten songs from 2003, this album still has solid points. Lactose and Lecithin, Raedawn, Saliva, Mr. Clean, GMC, Change The Beat. All amazing songs. And Even though this album has misses for me (Modern Day Mugging, Never Dead, and A Dead Mouse) I think it's an overall consistently good album. The Open Mic Nites work as interludes/skits for me and the spoken word vik skits in a lot of songs similar to the MM Food spoken word ... read more
If I take the game away from the actual soundtrack, let's say I show this to someone who has never seen the game before, I think that the titles along with the just great composition of most tracks could have them even building up their own story in their head. Having melodies from songs like Fallen Down, Ruins, Your Best Friend, and other songs in the beginning of the soundtrack repeat throughout the soundtrack is a great idea. Luckily for me I can look at all 100 songs in the tracklist ... read more
