Paul McCartney - The Boys of Dungeon Lane
80

Lovely work. The best album among all musicians aged 70 and above. So nice.

The Rolling Stones - Aftermath
78

A transitional album by the Stones, similar to Rubber Soul. The record length might surprise you for its time. I actually prefer the UK version, it isn't bad by any means. Paint it Black should remain as a one of the cornerstone singles in their discog.

Discussion on the lows: The mixing is muddy as intended, its a Rolling Stones album, not some pop art pastiche. Stupid Girl could've been musically better, the production is elementary on it. Under My Thumb is a better, artier ... read more

The Beatles - The Beatles

Its great, it sold, its the bloody Beatles' White Album. Shut up!

The Beatles - Rubber Soul
85

I love this album, but its the worst of the 1965-69 bunch. That influences my rating heavily. Still, I appreciated Harrison's best Byrds impression on the 12 string and the sitar on the 2nd track even though its a bit elementary. Lennon in particular shines on this album.

Playboi Carti - Die Lit

This is where playful hiphop peaked. All fun tunes, fun raps. Can be played anywhere except at a funeral (serious). This album made 2018 a very good year.

As I like to say, Pierre Bourne put da smack on da track.

Everything has been doom and gloom since this dropped.

Ken Carson - A Great Chaos

I felt m*lested listening to this.

Stay away from rock music from now on 🔥🔥

Paul McCartney & Linda McCartney - Ram

"Too many people preaching practices
Don't let em tell you what you wanna be!"

That's right Sir Paul. I'm tired of celebrities telling us commonfolk what's right and what's wrong, what should be done and what shouldn't. Especially the hypocritical yet preachy ones who barely set foot out of their doors by themselves before becoming stars in their respective fields. The homeschooled ones are even worse.

1. Stalin used to send these people to labour camps. Leaders today have gone too soft

2. "lets see what's going on in Hell today, hmm this song just got released there, might be interesting"

3. 'Rage music' and these two are just throwing around stuff in a tiny ass garage btw

4. I am a streamer (dubiously low IQ) and I glaze everything about Playboi Carti and his clique (Satan's foot soldiers)

2Pac - All Eyez on Me
65

Used to love some of the tracks on this back in the day, but there are a lot of skips. The quality control on this album is pretty much non existent, which is understandable given the circumstances in which this album was made (i recall this was made in a month or two).

I don't feel like going back and listening to this fully either. Me Against The World has more replayability and variance of lyrical content in its tracklist. All that being said, Ambitionz as a Ridah, the Snoop Dogg ... read more

This is one of those works, where the whole concept and sound clicks at once, or it doesn't click at all. This won't 'grow on you'. Great opening track.

I'd certainly include this in a top 10 albums of the 80s list.

ZAYN - KONNAKOL

Album's ass. Instead, here's a recipe of Chicken Salad with Honey Mustard Dip:

Ingredients:

2 cups cooked chicken (boiled, grilled, or roasted; shredded or diced)
1 cup lettuce (chopped)
½ cucumber (thinly sliced)
½ cup cherry tomatoes (halved)
¼ onion (thinly sliced)

For the honey mustard dip:

2 tbsp mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
1 tbsp mustard
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp lemon juice or vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds

I thought rock and roll fans, blues fans won't appreciate this music, and the comments show that. This is literally BAROQUE POP, and most people do not appreciate classical works. But I always prefer honesty over being a pretentious hippie, Its important to judge music by what you hear yourself, and not reading publications talking about how influential it was back in the day.

But the vocals and melodies are incredibly sweet and every generation of music enthusiasts will appreciate ... read more

Taylor Swift - The Life of a Showgirl

Taylor, this is for you and you only.

Leave that cringe man Travis. He is bad for you believe me. Take some time off the showbiz. Go to the mountains and meditate. Take up a new hobby. I believe you like lots of flowers and fruits. Come back with your best album ever.

Pink Floyd - The Piper at the Gates of Dawn

Unbridled acid genius. This album is like the dirty version of psychedelia, as opposed to the warm sounds of other albums of its time. Barrett was a good fucking writer.

Opening track is a banger.

Kanye West - BULLY
65

I'm actually crying real tears man. I never expected him to make a decent to good quality album. This is fucking unbelievable. The last bit of it falls off but come on man, the first few songs are pretty good to warrant it a 60 atleast.

I still prefer the 2025 version of Highs and Lows. Circles got butchered. North West killed it. I also believe the last few tracks will be updated in due course, normal Kanye release.

Awarded bonus 5 points because of my bias towards him. No stupid ... read more

BTS - ARIRANG

I'd rather listen to Vultures 2 over whatever this is. Get this off streaming services mate.

The Velvet Underground & Nico - The Velvet Underground & Nico
89

This album is highly overrated and underrated at the same time. Funnily enough, this was one of the first rock albums I've ever listened to in my life. My dad had a bootleg and he really loved it. And I find Nico's voice hauntingly beautiful. No wonder I had a crush on her. I still get stoned and listen to it and lose myself, once a month.

Edit: forgot to add, I rated it high due to sentimental value. Also, Run Run Run is the worst song on this LP, I usually skip it.
