Tori adapts some of classical music with new, haunting lyrics but it's a great job she did well and much better with the impressive adaptation of Gnossienne No 1 that could be also known as "battle of trees" Tori is such a woman who makes your written song so amazingly performed than your version.
Some of those versions are poorly chopped and nerfed like, yes Anastasia made into a skewed radio cut like the 9 minute Version was so better.
I think new versions like cloud on my tongue, programmable soda, Marianne and snow cherries from France.
If I think of a reissue, she should re-record purple people like it could be a potential hit if she redo that song.
Tori's most pop and dominantly radio-friendly album that still brings quality, but the ratings didn't deserved to be as low, but i wish it could get a cult succession following like it's so good
Sorry i didn't like it as well, i truly get why she was going back on her old form but this song is nothing new and it's more like a rejected b-side from born this way or artpop.
What is this trash?? Like i hate those Paul Anka ripoffs.
Tori returns to her piano minimalist sound with still a full band and exceeds a wurlitzer and Rhodes piano.
But scarlet's work is completely my favorite album of her and she sounds more relaxed here.
Least favorite Tori album, I didn't not understand the intention of what's going on she will intend to do but yeah, chocolate song was a good song tho although many people disliked it.
I would say this is close to Tori's best album "pele" but I love the whole changes between from going mystique to something comfy, like the transition to hotel outro to playboy mommy was something mind changing.
The original version of cruel is good but y'all should try the Venus or posse 2007 version.
Fishmans if they got another competition when it comes to eeriely falsetto, weird phonation, more sustained synth sounds and their opponent was this.
Finally some of these songs had existed better in live performances, this had potiental to be a *good progressive pop* albüm because it sounds more accessible than their previous works, unfortunately they abruptly it unfinished.
