one of, if not the greatest black midi song of all time.
the flamenco guitars, drums, bass, and various layers of horns and distant strings layer into a tension-filled up-tempo piece that climaxes with Cameron who I think works better on this track than if Geordie was singing screaming in the perspective of the deranged captain. The slower and quieter typical vocals of cameron work well on the track that creates a completely disorienting and deranged landscape in the song that is most likely ... read more
Holy shit guys, this is just so good. The production seems so much better in a closer and little bit more lofi way. The synths and bass and vocals interlude with all the instrumentation and wonderful vocal performances all around and the just omg everything's so great I'm just so hyped for the new squid album like holy shit.
I haven't listened in full to their first 2 albums but I really plan on doing it, however i've definitely heard a lot of their best songs like narrator ... read more
Track 1. Beautiful World
Seriously one of the greatest parannoul songs of all time, from the beautiful blazing emo chords and shoegaze tones to the heartfelt and sometimes screaming vocals, to the absolutely smashing drums and bass. Everything about this song is completely and utterly perfect. There is not a single flaw I would say about it, and there is no one worthy of even trying their hardest to find in this piece. Seriously one of the greatest shoegaze songs of all time, one of the ... read more
[Verse 1]
I suck his dick with a smile for hours at a time
Stare at his nutsack while I hold back my cum tonight
And when he ask me what position I say, "Doggystyle"
(And when they ask me what position I say, "Doggystyle")
But the fact is
I can never get off of his fat dick
And all that they can ask is (Ask is, ask is)
"I just wanna smack it" (I just wanna smack it)
[Pre-Chorus]
Here's what the fact is
He can put my asshole in a casket (Yuh, yuh, yuh)
Asshole ... read more
This album is absolutely great, and I'm so glad this has actually come out. Every song has a similar aesthetic, and holy shit is this album immaculate. The lyrics are super witty and the features are great. The production and mixing is also great on every single song. This album is also incredibly fun and pretty hilarious and everything is just really great and it all comes together to make this really great that I really enjoy, and it is very obvious that everyone else enjoys. It's ... read more
The only AMAZING song from the cover's version of American Football's LP1, and Ethel Cain is a great singer and artist. This song is amazing, the singing and layering and instrumentation is heavenly and perfectly demonstrates the ethereal moods of a beautiful and dreary rainy day weekend that just calms you. Ethel is an incredible singer, and no text when writing this review can describe how MUCH I am excited for perverts. I'm also getting better from my sickness as well.

This ep is super flavorful and filled with cool little jams and ideas that really show how good of a band mbv were even when they just started out. From crisp drums and jangly post punk-esque guitar lines that remind me of a more stripped back version of a smiths' song. They definitely where working harding on crafting their sound, and they definitely put work in to lead up to something as good and as classic as loveless.
highlights include: you made me realise, thorn, cigarette in your ... read more
Seriously one of his most inventive and extraordinary songs in a while, as we haven't got much stuff from Tyler since the estate sale. I love the choir intro as I think it's a super powerful and triumphant sound, and the rock instrumentation and vibe throughout the song, combined with the great flows and lyrics and themes that Tyler is putting out will definitely have this album be a top placement in the year, and Chromakopia will be another catalyst to prove Tyler's effortlessly ... read more
a pretty boring ep from bon Iver ngl. I really love 22, a million and for Emma, forever ago, as I think they are both great albums and bon Iver is an incredibly talented artist, however, the most excited moment on this tiny little thing is the small horn section part on awards season which lasts a very short time. The rest, especially the lyrics to the ep, really just fade into the background of it, and make it a pretty mid experience.
Xiu Xiu A Promise AOTY Review
Back with another Xiu Xiu Review, really thinking about going through all their LPs or at least a lot of ‘em. Let’s get into it!
Track 1. Sad Pony Guerilla Girl
A very somber and quiet guitar and vocal intro. I always love Jamie’s vocals as they always sound like a victim of trauma who is forced to hide it, and is always on the brink of screaming out in pain. There’s a tiny break of the classic Xiu Xiu experimental art pop noise, and I ... read more
Track 1. Arp Omni
An incredibly heart wrenching ballad encapsulating beautiful layered organ-like synths and amazing lyrics and vocals that sound almost like Jamie is on his last breath, almost bursting into tears. Very good opener.
Track 2. Maestro One Chord
A super cool pumping noise rock and space rock inspired indie rock jam with morphing sound effects that really delivers a clear, clean, and cool space aesthetic.
Track 3. Common Loon
An absolutely smashing indie rock song filled with ... read more
FROM THE SCREEN 📺 TO THE RING 🥊TO THE PEN 🖊️ TO THE KING 🤴 WHERES MY CROWN 👑 THATS MY BLING 🤑
I love this song so much.
my paralyzed son was cured of his illness.
he finally stood up on his own 2 feet to turn this shit off.
But fr tho if this song had a different beat, different lyrics, different hook and chorus, different melodies, different themes, different style, different artist, different production, different mixing, different other shit, it would probably be a ... read more
definitely nettspend's best song, i think his rapping is very good on this song, and I'm glad he's constantly releasing new music. His flows and lyrics have gotten so much better as supposed to a song like nothing like uuu, or that one song, where he mumbles out of time with the beat and it doesn't fit well, but this is very good. I like it.
Blues - Holy fuck, an incredibly amazing prog song that really gives a strong start to this amazing album. The amazing instrumentation and stellar vocal performances climax perfectly into a prog epic that maximizes groove and wonder.
Terra - An amazing samba piece filled with amazing drum, guitar, piano and horn grooves and always amazing vocals. I can really tell that Geordie put his maximum effort into this album, as the whole thing is great.
Holy, Holy - This is fucking amazing. I did a ... read more
Oh my fucking God I love this song. I am a huge fan of Chat PIle, and I think there new music is a lot better because they implemented much more lofi production and swans-esque crushing no wave bass that really compliments the screaming and punchy downtowned guitars and aggressive pumping drums that are on this track. The verses with dead-sounding depressed and depraved lyrics, "I should just close my mouth, like I don't get the joke." The vocalist has gotten even better, this ... read more
A super interested that sounds like an old person either remembering fading traumatic memories, or a dead mall in its last breath of popularity before being forgotten into the abyss. I love the lo-fi production. There's a lot of cool electronic instrumentation that really adds to the vibes of this thing, and I also love the older classic instrumentation like saxophones and synths combined with the lo-fi production that really gives the vibe of music playing in a old mall. Sometimes the ... read more
