It's like. Okay. It's nothing special and it's a different sound from them which I'm glad to see but it does feel a lot like a transitional single. NOT CUTE ANYMORE is definetly burdened by that interlude-level song length that doesn't do it any favors and NOT ME needs time to cook but right now it's like Okay. I like the lyricism of it and how they used the mispronounciation of their name in the lyrics, so it gets additional points there.
Overall, I hope we get ... read more
I don't know why somehow getting rid of Seunghan killed the RIIZE sound from before. Why can't we have that back? It's not all bad, as Something's In the Water is a pretty great slow track that I quite enjoyed. It's probably one of the better songs in their discography.
Fame feels like an EXO demo from their worse eras, it feels like a song that has potential but just cannot get there at all. Sohee hollering on top of the tracks is a great addition though and I think ... read more
Definetly not bad, but not at all an evolution of tripleS' current sound. I hope that we can see more unique and interesting themes in the future. Biggest offender of this is the best track on the album, Fly Up. Seems like a straight rehash of their earlier title tracks. Cameo Love is okay, but suffers from the same problems, and Bubble Gum Girls and Q&A are solid songs. Not much to say about them.
Magic Shine New Zone is honestly a favorite on the album, the spatial audio between ... read more
FAMOUS is definetly the highlight here. It’s not totally great but it’s a solid foundation for a song and some of the parts are incredibly catchy, like Woochan’s pre-chorus and the WE AIN’T EVEN FAMOUS chant. There’s definetly a reason it went mega viral in Korea because it just gets stuck in your head.
WICKED is a boring and bland attempt at a genre K-pop doesn’t try often and feels almost unfinished. The Tarzzan rap should not have gotten past the original ... read more
Has one of the greatest opening tracks of 2025 in Wildflowers and then kinda just… falls off? I hoped she would do a lot more vocally with this album like she does in Wildflowers and Light Years but the main portion of it is just attempted catchy tracks that don’t work with the sound much.
It’s still an okay album but only a few of the tracks will make it to the playlist. I hope to see more work of Nao’s that is more vocally focused cause she has an incredibly lovely ... read more
Nothing standout, but a lovely album. She speaks French in a way that makes the language really sound like a language of love. I love the chorus of Viseur (La séduction) and Sur ton corps (Le sexe). I’ll try to listen to more of her and more French artists in the future because the language seems lovely for vocalists in particular.
[update: This album aged like cheese. Wish it didn't but I end up dreading listening to some of these tracks when they come up on my playlist. Sad ... read more
The most generic song Teddy has come up with since izna debuted, and it somehow is only worse with Tarzzan's absolutely horrible talk-rapping that genuinely made me laugh on first listen from how terrible it was. The only saving grace here is the ending and the pre-chorus that Teddy seems to always get atleast a little right.
A stupid song isn't a bad song.
This song is stupid, but it's not bad.
It has an okay beat and silly lyrics that may be stupid but "Spongebob, big guy, pants okay" has been stuck in my head for days and I think she won me over. I genuinely cannot hate this song no matter how much I try. It's a phenomenon and it somehow continues the Ice Spice trend of lacing her songs with some drug that makes it impossible to not loop.
Incredible title track. Supersonic itself is an easy 98. It perfectly captures that summer heat and if HYBE wasn't a bunch of evil misogynists they would have promoted this to the top of every single chart in the world. The fact it still charts from time to time after over a year just shows how timeless of a hit this is and how it deserved everything in the world. If this was a single alone I wouldn't hesitate to give it that top score.
However, the B-sides are... questionable. Beat ... read more
I'm not an ARMY, nor do I particularly consume any BTS content, but I really do have to give it to the guy—this is a fantastic debut album. I originally only heard Wild Flower (with youjeen) a year or so ago, and I'd been putting it off for a while, but I finally ripped off the bandaid and listened to it. This is incredible. RM knew exactly how to use his talents in consideration with other people to make great songs, and taking inspiration from R&B for this album elevated ... read more
This EP feels like a good realization of Stray Kids' potential and I hope to god they keep it going like this instead of the trainwreck that was KARMA. While it's only 4 songs (and a remix), all of them are pretty solid and stand on their own to make the EP feel like something not really fresh but instead a more polished version of their previous sound.
Stray Kids once again pulled from their ever-expanding bag of Latin instruments for their first title track, Do It, which feels ... read more
I tried to love this EP so much. I really tried. I bought the signed version before release because the design was so beautiful and I kept up with Yves from the literal day she made her debut. I didn’t care much for I Did, but it grew on me eventually. I don’t think this one will do the same.
This EP is half finished, and while it has incredibly high highs in Aibo and White cat, it also has incredibly low points that stain the album's quality during the second half.

This is a really strong debut album and the fact they haven’t been noticed yet is kinda insane to me because they have such a defined sound that they know how to stick to while changing it up. My favorite songs are FRONT LINES, BRAND NEW, EVERYTHING YOU WANTED, and PLANS.
I’m obsessed with how they use their voices to elevate their songs, especially in BRAND NEW, simulating a conversation midway through the song while not breaking the song’s flow. every song feels like it was ... read more
My favorite album of all time (so far). I have 0 notes. If I have a free hour and I want to calm myself and just enjoy life for a bit, I'll put this on. Front to back.
The best songs on this album are for sure Territorial and Heaven is a Home..., yet the entire album is back to back dreamy masterpieces that makes the album feel like a complete coherent project that explores right at the bounds of where it can without feeling disconnected. Her previous album, ORQUIEDAS, tended to to ... read more
If I see a single release, I want the song to either
1. stand on its own and feel like a whole experience in one or
2. be so sonically pleasing I want to go to sleep and wake up and come back every time
Night Train does both, with Milena's calm vocals overlaying perfectly over the melodic instrumental to create something that's so nice on the ears, while also not finishing too early or feeling too repetitive. The song's instrumental develops in such a subtle way that I have to ... read more
2 great songs in X and Who's Dat? (Jane Doe) that immediately spends the remaining 8 minutes of runtime just putting a whole bunch of bullshit down. CHIC is a fairly good song but it's just not something I'm interested in, and 2.0 tries to be a chill song but ends up being boring and bringing nothing to the table. SOB is tragic. Easily brings the EP down from a "okay, maybe solid" to a "mediocre".
Easily the best of Magdalena Bay's Nice Day singles. Paint Me A Picture is a great song that somehow managed to end up on my playlist despite not even being a style of song that I particularly like, and Human Happens is genuinely one of the best songs of the year and easily in contention for Magdalena Bay's best song EVER. I was obsessed when it was released and I'm still obsessed today.
Shockingly solid from Stray Kids, who tends to have questionable music. JJAM and I Like It are definetly the fun highlights of the EP, twilight is a really fun slow song, and while there is definetly nitpicks to questions with the rest of the songs, the only one I'd actively say was heavily flawed is the self-titled song, which I understand the concept of but I don't think was executed well.
BOYNEXTDOOR's slow decline in music quality was bound to happen considering these constantly busy boys are also self-produced, but seeing it happen is really really tragic.
Live in Paris is a great concept of a song that is not realized at all, and ends up falling flat due to its depressing song length that would count as a long interlude in 2017. Hollywood Action is a cheap and boring copy of IF I SAY, I LOVE YOU, and it's not even their first; they did this with Count to Love not ... read more
LUX manages to perfectly strike the balance between keeping a certain style of music for an album and making every single song feel different. It's hard to understate how every song feels like an experience you can keep coming back to and repeating, and how most of the songs have a unique part of them that makes me remember them separately.
For Berghain, it's Yves Tumor's lyrics and how harshly he comes in. For Reliquia, it's the final 28 seconds that are executed ... read more
