Some parts underwhelming, some parts shockingly stellar. A bit of an underrated album in the grand scheme of things.
Unusually enchanting. I can tell the producer had fun above anything else making these beats. I heard animal crossing samples be implemented as neat pieces of sonic texture in woodblocks, and that should say enough about what kind of album this is. There's quite some ass on this though, but also some bangers.

I gotta admit, hearing these demos, I'm glad we got the C&C we have now. That being said, Warm Socks, Junky Boy, Smooth Mover, and Dirty Money are great songs. Warm Socks ESPECIALLY
I was expecting a bit more lyricism rather than none, but what I got didn't disappoint me.
I have incredibly mixed feelings. This really is the embodiment of a "geek rock" album, and while I like the musicianship in many songs, I don't in many others. It's also very tongue in cheek-- not that I'm gonna dock points for that, but still.

Hey, honestly, this is pretty alright. It probably wasn't a great album to start with, since Canned Heat is just MILES better than everything else, but I enjoyed my time with it.
The first 3 tracks are genuinely fantastic, and though the rest is good, it doesn't hit the same for me. Good album overall.
While nothing compares to the single title track, the album as a whole was a pleasant, smooth ride.
Favorites: Samurai. Outside, Cake

With unbeatable grooves and scuffling shuffles, this is an incredible city pop album.
Underrated. It certainly isn't phenomenal in terms of writing, but the musicianship is still excellent.
Its writing is a bit amateurish, but the compositions are legitimately flawless. The closing track is one of the best pop songs I've ever heard, with an incredible orchestral ending with the thunderous voice of a woman. Great album.
I liked it for what it was. The guy making this has a great attitude which I respect. If he honed in on his more relaxed side of music he could make something seriously great, because the songs where he rapped aggressively were just... not that good.
