Perfection. The song bitches brew is so ahead of its time. I recommend you listen to some other jazz records before this to fully appreciate this album
Just realized I never reviewed this album. Took me a very very long time to fully appreciate this album. Most people new to the site who give this a high score upon first listen without alot of experience with hip-hop is probably not realistic with there real feelings about the album because it takes alot of time to love this album and alot of appreciation for the genre.
Very underrated. The album very much like a movie soundtrack. Some great vocal features on the album. Great production by danger mouse. Only problem I had was that each song just blended into each other and sounded very similar, not sure if this is because of my first listen.
Some alot of banger but a few low points that brings down an album of this length
Been hesitant to review this album for a long long time because I didn't know how to feel about it. It's a very intimidating jazz album for beginners. Believe it would be best enjoyed by an experienced jazz listener. The record has grown on me after time. Do believe it to be highly rank for jazz records.
This album is right up my alley. As a lover of jazz and hip hop this is a match made in heaven. Would be a flawless 100 if not for the imperfect mezzanine tippin'
One of the best things I've heard. Wear headphones full volume. My neck hurting. My only gripe is the lost opportunity of using the face to face sample.
