Slightly Overrated
This album is Great, but definitely not Black Midi's best, I don't really get the hype for this one, I feel this one tries harder to be as explosive as possible and while it works and the songs are good, it doesn't work as well as Schlagenheim or Cavalcade. Sugar/Tzu is incredible but that's the only song on here I'd give a 10, and the other songs worth noting are Welcome to Hell and The Defence.
Edit: (Og Score: 86) Grew on me, songs like Eat men Eat and Dangerous ... read more

What a fuckin Debut, Schlagenheim is probably Black Midi's weirdest album so far. Songs like Near DT, MI, Of Schlagenheim, and Especially bmbmbm are some of their weirdest songs ever but god damn does it work in it's favor, these songs BANG. The other songs are also really good too but I don't have much to say about them.
Underated
This is Black Midi's best album by quite a bit. Every song on here is at least a 90, songs like John L and Chondromalacia Patella go Insanely hard while songs like Diamond Stuff and Ascending Forth are beautiful. Plus Slow is Black Midi's best song tied with bmbmbm, The singing on that song and the dramatic "I guess I'll wait" is peak music.
This used to be my favourite album of all time before I really got into music and after almost a year of not listening to this and coming back, I understand why. This is fucking amazing.
What an awesome conclusion to this bands discography. Glenn is such a beautiful and hypnotic song, it could've fit onto Spiderland so easily. And Rhoda, WHAT IS THIS?? They took the last song from tweez and turned it into one of the hardest songs to ever exist with a huge collage of noise and incredible guitar riffs. It goes to prove how good tweez could've been if it didn't have dogshit production.
First things first, the production is pretty bad on this album, especially the guitars, however the poor production gives certain songs somewhat of a charm to them, like on Nan Ding or Darlene, however however it can just flat out suck on songs like Carol, and especially Ron. Second of all, THIS THING IS FUN AS FUCK, Seriously this is one of them most fun albums I've ever listened to, pretty much every song is super catchy, it has extremely fun guitar riffs and bass lines, and is all around a ... read more
Holy Fuck this is Death Grips best album by far. This used to be my first 10 but as time went on I became more restrictive on my 10s. Still though, this album is fucking amazing.
First half, People on the moon, is the most experimental album by them and probably the most experimental album I've ever heard, but it is so so good, the sound of this album is (don't quote me on this) literally just Bjork samples and percussion, and it is mind blowing.
The second half, Jenny Death, is Death Grips ... read more
THIS SHIT IS SO FUCKING FUN AHAHAJHSHDGHJSAGDSADAD
Although my least favorite of the trilogy this album is still fantastic, It's got the lowest lows of the trilogy and (kinda by far) my least favorite of the "epic" tracks but also god damn when this album is good it's GOOOOOD. However, this album is fucking terrifying, like 93 Ave. Blues sounds like a bunch of animals dying and screaming in pain and when the drop happens it sounds like a mass shooting which guessing where the name of this song is from makes a lot of sense, but still ... read more
Wow I didn't expect to like this one this much, none of the songs are below a 6 and A Screw is a Fucking Banger. These guys just keep getting better after Cop. Now I'm really excited for CoG.
Alright this is a bit better, I like this a bit more than COP and hey, this is the first album with Jarboe in it, and she improves nearly every song, Fool being only the piano as an instrument is so cool and fits Michael Gira's anger so well. But even with Jarboe, it still has a bit of that COP stink, where songs are unnecessarily long and very boring, Anything for you and Heaven are just such slow and boring tracks that it makes me not really recommend this album. But hey, this still seems a ... read more
