It's amazing how much peggy is able to evolve his sound with every project, makes me want more from every other artist I listen to just because he expands his production and delivery so much on every project that it almost feels like a different artist. This album has no shortage of bangers during the first half, but I love how he doesn't overdo it and gradually changes the tone and speed of the album. Definitely enhances the experience. The production on all sides of this album is ... read more
coming off an extremely succesful debut I love how unapologetic this album is. super fun.
nah why the fuck are yall acting like this is better than his past shit. this is somehow way worse
half doin dope is alright and I actually really like the babytron verse but van gogh is definately the more solid track
this is her most personal album yet
goddamit if you haven't been following this album release it's been a wild ride, but for valid reasons too.
I want to start this review by talking about the rollout process of this album since I think it's important to understand the bigger picture that is this self-titled effort. So Zach Bryan's like really great; this guy has been on top of his game the last couple of years and that's not just me speaking on the continued success and virality of 'Something ... read more
Shoutout Rich Brian.
Honestly when I first saw the score for this album I was super surprised! I mean the score's really just an arbitrary number but I expected this number to be a little bit higher. See, Yung Gravy and bbno$ have been pumping out formulaic trap albums that don't take themselves too seriously for quite a few years now and their user scores have been steadily climbing up. Especially with bbno$ who's latest album was actually in the green for a couple of days after release. All ... read more
I honestly love this track, the melody is simple but also very beatiful. Every sonical decision that makes up this track seems very deliberate.
At surface level this is just another smooth and funky cut from dream perfect legend's incredibly talented head of visuals Christian Yu, aka DPR IAN an artist who as been at the forefront of innovation in the Korean r&b scene for a couple of years now. His last project, also his debut album, expanded upon this universe he has been building were he explores his bipolar disorder through a lense of catchy, although somewhat modest pop tracks accompanied by very glamorous music videos with a ... read more
this soundtrack is so good. shit makes me feel like im boutta uncover the secrets of the atom in the middle of new mexico. contender for the best nolan soundtrack in my opinion, not only is the music essential to the movie, it's also fire.
'utopia' has a lot of great moments where travis branches out from his trap roots but the bigger picture that is the album is mostly subpar trap beats accompanied by supbar rapping preformances.
Was definitely expecting to be disappointed by this one because for pretty much every Amine roll out the singles are great but once the album drops you're severely underwhelmed. Anyways that didn't happen here, Kaytranada and Amine keep the energy going from the first track to the last track even if the result sometimes doesn't sound the greatest. The result is an absolutely lovely album for summer days and Amine's best record to date.
