can we get much lower...
this is official Kanye's worst album... I had higher expectations than Vultures 1 because I had heard the leaks, and some songs were really good. then I saw the tracklist, and I saw 530 AND Sky City, and I thought maybe this would be good. and some tracks are. Slide, Field Trip, and Promotion are all bangers, and id say would measure up to some of the better tracks off of the first project. however, that's about as good as it gets. this album is so ... read more
this was a pretty cool jpegmafia project, I really liked the metal elements, but id have to say my 2 favorite parts of this were 1) the features. holy crap, Vince Staples AND Denzel Curry, I may melt. and 2) a few songs had a lot more emotion to them, I felt like I had started to get a look into Peggy's head. that being said, this album is messy (in a good way), and while the sound kinda changes throughout, it's still pretty solid and very accessible. very cool peggy

cant believe I haven't put in a review for this album, it's pretty good. I thought I'd like it less but it has a lot of amazing songs. plus a ton of bonus points for literally becoming the father to so many artists. a couple of stinker songs tho... however, overwhelmingly positive way to start a new genre. very cool Kanye
I remember this was one of the first Weeknd albums I listened to, all the way back in middle school. it has been a long time since I'd listened to this, and this is one of my friend's favorite Weeknd albums, so what's my opinion? it's cool, definitely bloated, and some of the pop attempts feel flat, however, there are some bangers on this. a lil long winded too, but I preferred this pop attempt over BBTM
pretty solid project, very short, like half the tracklist was interludes, but it was a good listen
dude I figured this would be good, but holy crap this was insane. so many different genres, yet so coherent. the features were used well and in unexpected ways. and it gets so many bonus points for being an AOTY contender and a soundtrack. this is peak Gambino. also, Legend bodied any other celebrity's child, including North West, Adonis, and Stormi.
edit: ok what sux is I don't revisit a ton of these tracks. it's highs are still remarkable, I think there r some songs that just ... read more
I'm not gonna lie, I had high hopes for this, but the one thing that hurt this album was Peggy's singing, like 90% of the time his autotune singing was unlistenable, and it happened very frequently. the best songs were great, but they were the ones without him singing. the beats were cool, but this is probably my least favorite jpegmafia project
while I preferred the other single, this was still a banger. this is shaping up to be an aoty contender imo
pretty good, call my bluff sucks booty cheeks tho, what in the world were u thinking Pharrell???
yeat has found a lane for himself, and while there r some good songs, most are just mid imo, tho I understand the appeal for certain bangers. I just didn't get a lot of replay value which is something I expected from a project this short. a few bangers, just not enough to justify a high rating
edit: yeah so like, coming back i dont remember any of this tracklist, and any time one of these songs come on i just get an urge to skip it. idk it feels super bland, and i just dont know if its ... read more
can't believe I hadn't reviewed this album yet, very solid project, tho I may not like a couple tracks as much as the rest of y'all do
edit: ok so after many relistens, I understand this album, this has some of Kanye's best beats of recent times ngl, The Games We Play is a top 5 Ye beat of the past decade
this is just a single and i listened to it a while ago, but DANG this is so good, my hopes are high for this new album, even tho its just a soundtrack. im hoping he tries out the sound he displayed on this song and really plays into the whole "bando stone" persona
I'm not gonna lie, I didn't have too high of hopes, however, this kinda sucked. the first half felt like Eminem was just trying to get shock value, but it was very forced, and the whole "cancel me gen z" narrative was very cringe (especially since gen z wasn't trying to cancel Eminem in the first place). any time Eminem would have a good rapping performance, he would ruin it with some corny bar and I'd be left disappointed. I will say the second half was better, ... read more
the first half is really solid, the main thing that drug this down was the latter half didn't age super well, with some of the songs just being unlistenable imo, especially with the outdated crappy production or Wayne's auto-cruning. some of his rapping was really good tho, but I feel like time has not helped this record
this album has some high highlights, like some amazing songs. but I also have some complaints, mainly about how alot of the great songs on this album either A) didn't age well production wise/feel outdated, or B) were just straight up Weeknd songs that drake stole. other then that tho, pretty good album, bloated, but still good, I see what people miss about the old drake
this was a very solid experience, my only light complaint was I'm not huge on Lupe's melodic moments, but those are rare on the project. as my first experience of Lupe, this was an amazing listen
this album was just a crappy ripoff Carti, with awful mixing and an inconsistent ability to stay on beat. vocals sounded awful, and the mixing on them made it worse, beats were generic and mixed very poorly, at least it was like 20 minutes tho? needless to say I will never be returning to this album
