Ariana came to this with an unexpected and really interesting approach
Thank u, Next is ariana's fifth studio LP, it came after 2 major albums Dangerous Woman, which was a really mature Pop R&B with a big variety of different approaches and styles, and then her Pharell produced Sweetener which ended up being a more personal and soulful album, this was a very unexpected album, that came out less then 6 months after Sweetener mostly due to Mac Miller's passing.
Coming to this record for the ... read more
Drake can dance like Michael Jackson, i wish he could put out good music like him too breh
Ye's second album is probably his most varied and it is really enjoyable overall, Brion and Kanye did an amazing job on the production of this, it was definitely one of the most important albums of hip hop history, for the first time we see an album with tons of features from artists that aren't rappers, and Ye was the first to make it and still turn it into something enjoyable at least, without givin up his style.
What makes this lower than most of the rating that i gave him is a simple fact, ... read more
Once again we see Steve 'trapped in 2014' Aoki, with another dated and cliché project
Well this is Kiana's debut album that i've been curious to hear, i expected it so more upbeat R&B, maybe electro R&B, but this unfortunately ended sounding like most R&B female artists this days
I did really enjoy her unapologetic attitude towards her exes and her past issues on this album, even tho it isnt as different as other artists this days, i honestly found this album to have a lot of different approaches artistically, it has a ton of different flows, a ton of creative ... read more
This was the ablum i anticipated the most for this month, after 3 years we have a new Thundercat project.
Well this guy is definitely an unique and super innovative artist, he's been that guy for years now, and even though i personally love this album, i personally don't think i should rate this higher, cause i still expected this album to be a bigger change of pace, he can keep the same formula but this project sounds mostly like the last one, and it still isnt as enjoyable has Drunk, i do ... read more
Well i didn't expect this, in this album Yves Tumor seems to be more focused on a soul style than in the other previous albums, it is one of the best albums so far this year, it is a very chill and pleasing experience, a nice mix of alternative rock music with neo-soul.
This album doesn't have a single low point or a single bad music, it manages to be a very creative piece of art, it has a lot of variety inside only 12 tracks, pleasing vocals all over the place, it is very cohesive and overall ... read more
Newest project by A$AP Twelvyy
It isn't bad, the production is really enjoyable overall, and he's an ok rapper, i do feel like the album was maybe too long, it had a couple filler tracks, it could've had like 9 songs.
Just below average, i don't think the production is overall nice, and Headie One isn't the most talented rapper neither
Well, i can definitely see the appeal here and their objective, what sucks about making 60's influenced music is that u will probably never get recognicion, and u will end up flopping, and even tho i really managed to enjoy this i can't really much creativity here since i always get the feeling that millions have done this before, but overall this is a really chill experience
My first time streaming an album by this english psychedelic punk rock duo.
This is a full lenght album with about 40 minutes, i was looking forward to it since most of the rock based music coming from England tends to be pretty enjoyable, and as i got into the 3rd track i quickly realized that this duo doesn't have a main vibe or sound, it's an album full of variety and experiments, in my opinion this album can not only come out as aggressive and raw and really enjoyable alternative rock, but ... read more
An year after his major success with the late success of his debut album T R A P S O U L, Bryson releases his second album, and it's was a flop
Bryson still knows how to make catchy addicting hooks and soulfully mature R&B songs, but this is mostly the cliché Bryson, his essence and formula is exactly the same as ever, and he even ends up making this album more repetitive and less enjoyable than his last, it is an hour long but it takes so long to end, unlike his last album this ... read more
Bryson Tiller is indeed a generic R&B artist, but this was in my opinion the best male R&B album of 2015, i love his voice and it was just overall really enjoyable, at this time i thought he would have a promising future with a couple successful albums, the production sounds like some southern trap R&B infused beat, with a little Chopped n Screwed influence too since hes from the H Town.
It isn't perfect but it was a truly enjoyable project, the best of 2015 in its genre, it was ... read more
Justin drops an unnecessary EP with the songs from his last release Changes that are more focused on his love life with his wife, at least he picked 4/5 top tier songs, but its still super unnecessary and tragically bad overall, just a marketing release so he can get more money during quarentine
EDIT: I mentioned this album as a kpop album before, and i just wanna apologize for it, it was a mistake and ill make sure i do a more focused review next time :(
This album surprised me, this has been a really alternative and creative day in the music industry, first Code Kunst now this?? Wow
I was not expecting this from Yaeji and to be honest, i dont really think i vibe to this, im not disappointed at all, i just dont think this album is for me, but her vocals sounded very intriguing and ... read more
Solo alternative korean hip hop album by Code Kunst
I was never a huge fan of kpop when it comes to solo projects, they mostly end up sounding bland unless the artist is really talented, i no big expectations coming to this 55 minutes LP, i didn't know much about this artist, and i quickly found out he wasn't a typical k-rapper, his way more chill than an average artist on korea, he kinda sounds like the singers in BROCKHAMPTON, this reminds me of ALL AMERICAN TRASH EP by that band, a very ... read more
This is indeed a potentially beautiful project by the pianist and composer John Carroll Kirby, but the truth is that even tho it is really relaxing and pleasing, it is very very repetitive, all the songs end up sounding quite the same,i don't find this project creative at all because of that, it all sounds like a single symphony, it is relaxing but it doesn't make it a good record whatsoever, it sounds like minecraft background music that lasts for 20 minutes and sounds the same from the ... read more
It's not terrbile but it's forgettable, this guy isn't a standout on the rap world, it's honestly pretty boring overall, but his bars aren't all that bad
This is such a masterpiece i loved this so much, Troye is a really talented artist on the eletro pop new wave community, he's not only a really talented singer, he's also capable of making extremely music on a genre where it's hard to be different and creative, i loved every single song here, im so surprised, this is actually so good, i have no words, ill just leave it at this
Metro's finest project, it isnt amazin cause not all the songs end up having good verses, but it is overall a very dark, spacious, and creative trap album, it could've been the album of the year if he got better rappers to make the verses, cause overall metro is a genius when it comes to making trap beats and elevating artists to another level like he did with 21 savage, Travis Scott, Offset, etc.
It's just not a fire album from front to back, which is very heartbreaking
